YT Addict | Is anyone else SICK & TIRED of MEANIES on YT? i would really love to say that i always get great responses here on YT. i love this site. But, some people are REALLY defensive about their advice... and they way they say things some times just come off completely wrong to me. i greatly appreciate all of the advice i get here, but i'd just like all of my experiences here to be nice ones =\ just thought i'd vent. |

| I kow what you mean! Some advice seem like it's my way or the highway. Opinions are opinions and should be treated as such. Nothing more. Don't try to shove it down someones throat or gang up on someone to force it upon them either. Say your peace and move on.

| Whenever you ask for advice on a public forum you run the risk of not liking the advice you get. I don't think anyone was being mean to you in your other thread. Advising someone not to expect too much from a 13 week old puppy and not to take her outside until she's had all her shots is good advice. |

| Well your talking about me and all I will say is some people ask for advice but all they really want is what they want to hear. I tell it like it is and some times I dont sugar coat because I really think the person needs to get the message and I thought you needed to get the message

as for that thread your talking about... i stated what i was trying to say, and i believe it stated it very clearly. i know that Hazel is a puppy, i don't not expect much from her but to be cute, eat, sleep, bark, poop, and pee. shes a baby. i just wanted suggestions, and i was misunderstood. | |

| IM not defensive just giving you my side. As far as meanies on the site. Its like I said this is a public forum and when you ask for advice you are going to get the all kinds and not just what you want to hear because the people answering the advice may have different ethics than you. It is common on here for someone when they get advice they dont want to hear to call the other person mean or rude when its not they just have different ethics and values

| I wish I had a dollar for every post I'd seen complaining about how "mean" people are. If I did, I'd be rich! "Nice" and "mean" are matters of perception. Those people and comments that one my consider "mean" may be the most appreciated by the next person. It's a big forum with lots of members. Opinions, mannerisms and posting styles are going to differ. That's just the way it is. Last edited by BamaFan121s; 09-16-2010 at 09:46 AM. |
