I am German with some polish blood and my hubby is a mix of Scots, English and Germans but was born in Canada. Merlin is a mix of 3/4 Yorkie and 1/4 Maltese.

50% Sicilian
50% southern Italian

Pretty intense mixture lol

1/2 Italian, 1/4 French, 1/4 Swedish. My wife is 100% Italian.

I'm 100% Italian...my husband is an Italian wanna-be LoL He makes the homemade sauce and the homemade wine lol

Morning Gombata. We just made 60 large Ball Jars of Tomato puree that my wife will use throughout the year for the Sauce. (Actually she did with I forget how many cases of tomatoes she used). I took a nap and read a book!

Native American Indian-Cherokee, French, German and English....a regular ol' soup of things, hmmmm?!?:)

Born in England, to a Welsh mother and an English father (could never understand mother marrying a "foreigner":D) I was always closer to my Welsh heritage.

We are all "different" and so we should be...what a dull world if we all thought alike..I think the worst prejustice comes from those who avoid people who do not think as they do...I have friends who have opposite political, religious views..etc...but we get along great...unethcial and dishonest is another story...those I keep at arms length..

All under Italian rule, but those North of Rome for some reason do not care for those from the South, all the way down to Sicily. I have Sicilian in me and still feel fine. Untill 100 years ago, Italy was was composed of many small States...Florence was the banking center. Naturally the Mafia is in the South, especially Naples and Sicily.

I'm afro-caribbean. My family is From Antigua. My grandmother (mothers side) is half Portuguese....but I don't really consider myself that. & my grandmother (dads side) was part Arawak indian....but I don't consider myself that either. Long story short...I'm black. BUT not african-american!

Me too! We must surely be related somewhere! Just let me throw in some Dutch also. Who really knows for sure...as we are all mixed up with some of everything!! All I really know for sure is as long as anyone can remember all our ancestors were poor...walking 10 miles to school in the snow,uphill both ways! Or, we only got an ounce of meat once a month...and we were glad to get it! BLAH, BLAH, BLAH!!!:rolleyes:

I'm mostly Irish. My mom is completely Irish. We're not entirely sure what my dad is (his father grew up in an orphanage), but my last name is German, and his dad's mother's last name is Irish. But his grandmother on his mom's side (are you following this? LOL) is Puerto Rican. I have very tan skin and dark hair and eyes, so no one ever believes me when I tell them that I'm like 75% Irish haha!

what the heck is so strange about being asked about heritage? We should all be very proud of where we come from. My mom and I spend hours doing geneology research. I think it sparks very interesting discussions.

I am such a mix that it is hard to put all here... ,German ,Portuguese, native South American, Italian, Jew , other European, just to name a few... I sort of belong to the whole world and i love , love, love it !!!! It is so deep in me, that i always like to try different things, love all kinds of nice people from different places and i love to make friends who have experiences that can continue to enrich my own life !
I do have strong prejudice against people who are judgmental and think they own the truth though, those annoy me quite a bit.
If there were no differences we would only know one thing .... so boring huhn...

I thought it was an odd question, too. Only because it was post #1.. I feel like this is a large party where friends and guests come and go. There is a buffet in the back 24/7, drinks, coffee, etc.... people mingle, chat, show off their kids' pictures, tell jokes, crack up...on and on

Once in awhile someone stumbles in the door, screams ""HELP! A stranger offered me an open can of soda to drink and I did and now I'm sick, this was the first open door I saw, help me""" and we try to figure out what is wrong. While some are calling the emts, others are in the back yelling "" why would you do something so stupid??"" others are giving advise, """turn her on her side"", ""make her throw up"" etc...
Eventually, she recovers and becomes part of our party. Or she stumbles back out the door, never to be seen again.

That is one type of introduction. The other one is what most of us do..
""Hi, I'm new here, let me tell you about my babies"" or ""Hi, I want to learn about Yorkies, and...""

But, to walk into the door and without so much as a handshake...

I'm not saying it's wrong..I just think that maybe why it was not quite accepted by some.

Each of my grandparents are from a different country, then moved to Trinidad where my parents were born. I was born there as well.
