I bought my self the Dyson Pet Model with the Purple Ball. I am always "asked" to vacuum therugs that Carlo rolls on and Maxine eats her treats on. All I can say is that it is great. You can vacuum with a Canister Vac, and then go over it with the Dyson and you will get more stuff. Even good on Wood and tile. Great suction, and a 5 year warranty. Got it on Amazon. com. Tried to pass it off as my Wife's Birthday Present, but she was not buying it!

It's a shame you live so far away, you could have practiced and played with my vacuum provided you vacuumed my house. ;):D

It's a steam sanitizer. No need for a thing except distilled water. It kills germs and even dust mites. Use it on wood or ceramic floors. There is an attachment for the bottom to allow sanitizing carpets, furniture and even counter tops. But to do the furniture and counter top, you need a shorter wand which is sold separately. I've been having such a great time with my Dyson and Haan. :D

I believe Stepford ladies that somewhere out there, is a 12 step program for y'all...

WOO HOOOO! I guess this means you won't be around for a few days cause you'll be out vacumming every one of your neighbors carpets. After you do your own, of course! ;)

Well, just tomorrow afternoon, Saturday and Sunday. After that I'll have to come back to work to get some rest. :cool:

Maxine attacks our Dyson when we use it. She is like a Misquito..she circles, and then goes in for the bite.

But we all know what a special girl Maxine is. :) Besides, your poor Dyson is probably terrified of what Carlo would do if Maxine got frightened. ;)

Carlo would chew it into little pieces, and bury the big Purple ball. $500 bucks down the drain. He just sits and watches as she attacks it. She also attacks the garden hose. I can honestly say she was never attacked or harmed by a dyson or a hose.

It's here!!! I think I'm gonna like this thing. :cheer::cheer::cheer::cheer:

You know how those little tiny pieces always seem to wind up right against the baseboards? My old Hoover would NOT pick that stuff up. This Dyson schlurped it all right in....it was sucking up things before I even got the vacuum completely over the spot. :D

I did two small rooms last night (saving the rest of the fun for today ;)), and I think it took me about the same amount of time as it usually does. BUT, I was working it like a regular vacuum. I think once I get the hang of using that ball I'll be able to zip through much faster.

Oh, and the kiddos were too busy playing to even notice mom got a new vacuum. :p

I'm a happy camper this morning. :thumbup:

Do not forget to clean out the 2 filters at the recommended intervals, especially the one in the ball. Have fun with it. We bought a small Table for the Living Room that we set the Dyson on so everyone can look at it whenever they feel the need. It is a work of art.

Now that it is here, we need to start talking about all the neat attachments you can buy for it! ;)

The coolest one I have is the dusting attachment. Yep, it's real soft and sorta looks like a swiffer duster. You hook it to the end of the hose, turn on the suction, and you can suck up the dust off of your coffee tables and end tables!

YES!! I saw a video that showed that attachment and I WANT it! I was hoping BB&B would have it when I went there but they didn't. I'll probably wait until I have something else to order from Amazon and get it from there to save on shipping....unless someone else knows a better place to get it? I wonder if any local stores carry Dyson attachments? :confused:

What types of things is your Dyson able to pick up?

I passed over 2 pieces of kibble that the pups must have carried away from their dishes and dropped. The old Hoover would've picked them up no problem, but the Dyson just left them on the floor. :confused:

there are 2 settings....did you have it set for floor or carpet? One the beater bar will go, the other it will not. Never had a problem. Just how big is the kibble?

I had it on hard floor setting - I have stained concrete flooring. The kibble is Acana, which is about dime size...maybe a little smaller.
