| Do you know how to keep solicitors from coming by? I have had it!! We have a "NO SOLICITING" sign in the frong of our subdivision, but apparently it is being ignored. This is the third time in three days that people have come by. Maybe I will get a small sticky sign and put it by my doorbell. Because of Prince's CT, I have to keep him calm, and when the doorbell rings he goes into attack mode. He's now wheezing...again!!!!!!! What is with these people? If I wanted what you are soliciting, I would come to you!

| May you could turn off your door bell or post a sign saying "Beware of attack dog" If they do come by say "Could you wait a minute?" Then close the door almost all the way and just "forget" to come back. Once, when I was little....8 or 9. I was selling Girl Scout Cookies with my friend. I came up to this door and it had a sign that said "We shoot every third Solicitor" I remember thinking "Are we solicitors?" We ended up leaving and going to the next house. When we were walking back by, the owner of the house was outside. He said "Oh, Do you have Girl Scout Cookies?" I said "yes" He asked why we didn't come to their house. We told him because of his sign.....

| Or, you can do like my husband does . . .when he sees them start to walk up the driveway he pulls open the door and tells them to turn back around and that he isn't interested in anything they have to say . . .then slams the door.

Yorkie Kisses are the Best! Donating Member | haha me too at work - I made a big sign and can't believe every single person soliciting ignores it. I just point it out and tell them we aren't interested - I'm a sucker so I usually give them a card with misinformation I made myself cause they're doing a job too but I always tell them to never contact us and so far so good - mostly cause the card I hand them has wrong information on it - sneaky but effective. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | Actually if the sign doesn't work...simply disable the door bell.

| At least it wasn't someone trying to sell you his poetry he wrote while he was in prison for 30 years.

| Yeah that happened at my condos too. Unless they have a guard shack and an actual person people will do as they please. Trick or Treaters too... it usually starts before I get home from work and I can't even drive down the main road in my condo to get to MY HOME because tons of people who do not live there take their kids there and park up and down the road or even right in my own NUMBERED spot! Aaaahhh thank god for tenants, I am out of there!

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I have a sign on my subdivision and on my door, they always say, "We're not trying to sell you anything." I say, "You're trying to solicit my time," of course Joey's barking up a storm, and I think they are being deceitful, and I tell them that.

| It's not so much "selling" as it is soliciting...you know, trying to tell you that something they do or somewhere they go is better.

| I think we'll try the No Soliciting sign near our doorbell. I'm afraid if I put up a do not disturb sigh, I might miss deliveries from UPS or FedEx. Apparently these people (solictors) travel in groups. One of my neighbors spoke with two of them and said she hates it but doesn't want to be rude. If rudeness would stop them, I'll be rude!
