this site has sure changed - I still enjoy it to a degree but it's done a big turnaround. Maybe it attracts new members but to see long time members leaving sucks.

There's already alot of people I miss and I'm even though I've hardly been here the last few months - I do see all the changes

I for one thinks its a disgrace that YT lets such explicit threads continue talking about doing explicit things to females and showing pics of dildos. One must please remember this is a Yorkie forum and off topics was made for talking about your kids, vacations, soaps etc not sex sex and more sex. I'm sure there is forum for this kind of talk somewhere. I think it should be removed.

I posted a pic of what I had saw in a magazine as a kid and thought that it was a neck massager. I have asked that Admin remove it. I am sorry that I offend anyone and want to apologize.

I am pretty sure everyone here has seen worse. It really wasn't a big deal to most. I choose not to talk about my sex life, but the whole toy thing was funny. I didn't participate much at all. I doubt anyone wanted to offend, I didnt. Funny thing, these threads just continue the discussion. I can understand ones opinion but at somepoint you gotta stop, or it just goes on and on and it never goes away.

Exactly! I don't know why everyone keeps on about it. Bottom line is that this site belongs to the admin...he makes the calls. We may donate, but bottom line we are guests....it is a privelege, not a right to use YT. If he has not removed it....then, why not just let it go? There is so much more to this entire site that and to let that bother you for days just seems to be wasted energy. It also just keeps bringing more attention to it!

I don't discuss my sex life on any forum, but don't honestly care if others do. It is off topic and allowed. I did not see anything obscene. I posted early on to suggest that it was dangerous for the posters to be revealing as much private information as they were on the internet, but my warnings were basically ignored. As for the content....I simply don't much care. There are many things on this forum that bother me...especially some of the bad breeding which is not for the love of yorkies and there is LOT of that. Nothing I can do about that...it is allowed. I cannot make YT be my way. So, I just avoid things I don't like as much as possible.

As for children, how many are going to be looking at a yorkie forum anyway? And...let me tell you a story. When my son was in middle school he was doing a paper on asian leopards. OMG....I was helping him do an internet search and up popped a porn site....a naked asian chick with a shower massage in her hand. :eek: Exactly WHY children should have supervision when on a computer.

I hardly think that anything being discussed in that thread would interest a child.

My two cents...I am a teenager. Believe me..Whatever reason a kid joins a forum, they see post about sex they will read it. I read it. Not because interest me, more because I found it very amusing to see older lady talking so dirty.

And parent do monitor me on computer, but think about it. I tell my mum I am on dog website, she see the header saying Yorkie Talk..She's not watching me read every thread. She doesn't expect there to be sex stuff on a dog website. (She knows there breeding stuff though.)

I'm rather neutral on topic, but I just wanted to say this to everyone who say oh well parent should be monitoring. Mum is behind me cooking dinner right now, she has checked what sites I am on and in ten minutes she will come look again. To say that child will not be 'interested' in sex thread or that they won't be on this forum anyway is just ridiculous and extremely out of touch, not to mention deluded.

What about kid who come on and are NOT member? They can still read. Like I say, I don't really interest whether this should be kept or not but maybe there should be a members only section or something.

A lot of kids around here (my neighborhood) WAY younger than 13 (the required age to join YT) are already unfortunately either sexually active or already know what it means to be. Sad, but it's true. There are plenty of other bad things kids do in *real life* and NOT online, like drugs for one (again, in my "upscale" upper middle class neighborhood). They would think the thread in question a laugh. Seriously, the thread was titled MARITAL sex, NOT PREmarital sex. Come on. The thread is way old already, and had been buried for a long time ago until someone came back and bumped it back up. I stopped reading that thread months ago, bc quite frankly, it was a bore.

LOL, .....You couldn't be more right.....The only way a parent is going to keep kids from seeing *inappropriate* things on the computer is to pull the plug from the wall.....

I think that thread was a little much for a yorkie forum. I believe sex should stay private between the couple or between a doctor if you are having problems in that area. I don't understand why anyone would want to put that on the internet for all to see. I really hope this isn't a trend to start as I've seen a couple questionable personal threads lately - I know I came here to learn about yorkies and talk about dogs, not hear about humans having or not having sex.

WHEN / IF the members are acknowledged by staff...perhaps the discussion of offending material will die down.ummmm...because for years, now, staff has given the impression that members' opinions do matter...? If a small group of the privileged few are allowed to voice their opinions, and no one objects, then admin (or whomever) think that's what the majority want. Sadly, it looks like the 'privileged few' have taken over this board, and it no longer interests admin. We certainly are 'guests' here; but donating members contributed under what now looks like was misleading information:

I don't know who the "priveleged few" are, but if you mean me, and if I thought my opinions mattered, then I would start screaming about the bad ...no horrible...breeders on this site. We just cannot ALL be happy ALL of the time.

If I find that I can no longer handle it and the other good that I see does not outweigh the bad, then I suppose I will just leave. This is not my forum.
