| Rubber mulch... Has anyone used this in their landscaping? I watched a Yard Crashers show yesterday and they used this in someone's yard. We have a small area under our deck and I was thinking about using it as well. I looked at several sites, and it sounds perfect...it doesn't attract insects, it dust-free, the ground doesn't have to be compacted, looks great, and is great to walk on with bare feet. The down-side is the expense; it's about four time more than regualr wooden mulch. I plan to work on this project tomorrow to surprise my hubby. On, it's supposed to last for 15-20 years.

| We used it in a narrow area along our fence next to our driveway and it's o.k. The area is outside of our fence though so the dogs can't get to the mulch...I was concerned that they would want to chew on it or try to eat it. |

| I looked at this, but read somewhere, or was told, that it is flamable and not to use it next to a house. So, I can't say that this is true, but it would be something to look in to.

| my2boyz and Cha Cha,thank you for your response. Cha Cha, after your post, I did some checking and based on what I have found, I WILL NOT be getting rubber mulch. http://www.natureswayresources.com/D...ubberMulch.pdf

| I am glad you posted that. I don't like to speak out with out really looking or knowing before I post (that's why I said I didn't know if it was true or not), but I went and searched and found that same site. What's interesting about it, was that it listed the advertised benefits, then also listed the contradictions to the advertised statements so you can decide for yourself if it is right for you.

| Be careful when selecting mulch for your yard. I've recently read about cocoa mulch being toxic to dogs. snopes.com: Cocoa Mulch Danger to Dogs
