| Animal Cruelty by Police I know there was a thread about those 2 dogs that were shot by a SWAT team, in a drug dealers house, which I still think is totally ridiculous. THIS just makes me sick to my stomach. | I notice no one wants to comment on this, but I can't help myself. Believe me, I understand all about policemen putting their lives on the line every single day and I appreciate and support that 100%. But, this was not a life threatening situation. The dog was under control and it was SCARED. There is absolutely NO reason for them to shot and kill that poor dog; certainly not that I could see. Did you notice how he was wagging his tail? OMG, this is hearbreaking to me. I believe there are good and bad in every profession. There are people where power goes to their head. I think this was one of those situations. However, I know there are some states where it is perfectly ok and allowable to kill a dog with a gun. I just don't think this was a question of putting this animal out of his misery. He looked healthy to me. I don't know anything about the laws in Missouri but it was darn hard to watch that.

| This is disgusting. I cannot believe that this is filmed. I hope that cop loses his job There was NO reason for that dog to be shot. I just do not understand the cruelty of some people

| I found this on a pitbull lovers forum: "The address for letters is 118 s main Lagrange Missouri 63448... This is city hall" It is the address a member was given to write letters for all concerns about this. Also posted was, "the number LaGrange PD is 573-655-4611 anyone anywhere is able to make a complaint about this and they r all being forwarded to the prosecuting attorney" |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | ugh that was absolutely disgusting behavior on the police's part. that dog was terrified but was still submissive and wagging his tail. The police man walked up to the dog in the beginning and removed him from the chain attached to the house. why couldn't he have just done the same when he hooked the dog to his truck? And why did he hook it up to his truck in the first place? he should have immediately lead him to a crate that he should have had in his truck since he knew he was going to pick up a dog. this is not the first time this young police officer shot a dog unnecessarily either according to the petition site. disgusting....just disgusting....

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | This is horrible and unnecessary. Wouldn't their protocol for a non-threatening dog be to call their local pound?????
