| Another dental emergency and 16 days until vacation!! Another tooth broke last night I have an appt for tomorrow morning at 930. I probably need a root canal and crown, maybe. I pray pray pray they don't need to pull it like the last one. The last one was in the back... this one is on the side and will be visible in my smile. I need it fixed before vacation because I cannot risk something happening while I am in Bermuda! Plus I don't want to worry about it when I am there! I am just having a really bad year this year teeth wise. Already spent $1500 on 2 fillings, a cleaning, xrays and an extraction... now a root canal and crown will be $2500 and I need an implant which is like $4,000.

| Talk about putting your money where your mouth is. My father informed me this week that another large chunk of my inheritance is going into his mouth. He also reminded me that he wants an open casket funeral with a big toothy smile on his face. Have fun in Bermuda! |

| LMAO!!!!!! No kidding!!! That's too funny!!!! Dental work sucks... mainly because it hurts and its ridiculously expensive. I am DREADING tomorrows appt.... I hear root canals are really not that bad but still... I hate having a filling done bc even though the novacain shots don't really hurt when it wears off my whole jaw feels sore and I can feel where the needle went in. Thanks ladies!!

| I am not sure.... the dentist office I am going to Ive never been to before, but they do root canals there too. So I plan to stay there to do it. I just want to get numbed up, not gassed or put under, because I do have to go back to work for a 2pm conference call that I need to go to.

My grandparents told me the other day that at 33 & 35 years old, they both went to the dentist and had all their teeth pulled and have had dentures now for over 40 years. They love them! LOL But now a days, dentists won't do that anymore! bummer!! LOL (kidding really)

| My brother in law had to have all of his teeth pulled at age 27. Bad teeth are genetic in his family but he had drug use problems in the past that hes finally got under control but it had lasting effects. I(knock one wood) have never had more then a filling put in place and that was 20 years ago. We have great ins but it still cost when my husband has to have any work done on his teeth as well as extra stuff for my son. Like a special mouth guard for when he races. I can't imagine what kind of loan we would have to get w/o the ins. I hope you get to keep the tooth and all goes smootly at your appt. |

I cracked a tooth about 2 years ago and went ahead a got an implant and a crown. Total cost is about $5000. Found out a year later my company started paying 70% of an implant. Darn. Its a long procedure that may take a month. You have to wait for the implant to heal then waiting for your crown to be made. I did wear a temp flipper until my crown was made. OHHH Good Luck to you. | |

| Ouch that's a lot of money for dental work! I have to have a crown, fortunately I have dental insurance that pays 50%. My dentist said I would have a temporary crown for two weeks while the regular is being made. I hope it all works out timing wise!
