Yep, she can come back if she wants, but admin requires that you wait a month before they reactivate your account.

I know that if you PM admin and make the request, you can come back later down the road, and will get the 'banned' message on your screen in the meantime, but not sure what the deal is if she did that.

Ummmmm...............I have seen that message too.

Carol was always very nice to me and even sent Truman some hand me downs from Buddy.

I think if you ask Admin to cancel your membership, you have to wait a month before you return, and you lose your donating status. I hope everyone remembers that there will be times you disagree with what people have posted and how they've said it, and even how admin decides to rule. Instead of deciding to leave and making a formal thread about your reasons, which could lead to a possible permanent banning, it might be best to leave for a few days and think it over.

Carol is one of the most genuine people I know, she lets you know what she thinks about things, and has a great deal of integrity. I'm really sad that Carol decided to leave; I don't think she realizes how valuable of a member she is here. Add me to the list of Buddy fans, her stories about him were heartwarming and the love they share is so special. I hope Carol will decide there is more good than bad at Yorkietalk, and come back soon. I imagine admin reviews every case individually.

I enjoyed Carol's posts about Buddy. She is a sympathetic and caring person who has strong beliefs as to right and wrong. She did what her principles compelled her to do even though it meant leaving YT and the friends she cared about here. She was very principled and I admire that.

Just want to help w/ the speculation. Carol was definitely not banned - she is just no longer a member, at her request. She and Buddy will most certainly be missed.

Similar to what Nancy said, I too wish people would take some time to think things over and/or communicate via PM with others before making decisions such as this. If for nothing else, just to gain another perspective before making a final decision. Of course, we always respect a member's choice to leave and wish them well.

Mom, my heart agrees wwith you 100%. However, my brain learned many years back in another country and a good decision now, is better than a great decision later. Sometimes in the heat of battle you make a decision. Sometimes it is right, and sometimes not. At least here, no one is getting shot! I pretty much died several times and came back, so there is hope!

I love it when you call me Mom . I definitely won't argue w/ what you say above bc I absolutely respect it . I must say, I am sure am grateful you came back so many times...and now you're *here* in this community and we've had the privilege of making a new friend .

Thank you Mom. You guys are really great. We may not all agree all of the time, but we do respect each other.
