I will really miss her and her buddy stories. If I knew she was leaving I would have tried to stop her but Im not here as much as I used to be so I didnt know. So sad.........

I was on when she made her last post, I sent her a PM begging her to reconsider, or at least think about it a little loonger. I don't know if she actually got it before her membership was revoked, by the time I sent the PM I went back to the thread and it was gone. It is not going to be the same without Carol and Buddy. I always got a laugh out of her posts about Buddy's antics.

ya - I already posted practically the same thing - I too had gone to her homepage as fast as I could when I saw a thread saying goodbye - then poof - her thread was gone -

I wonder if YT keeps accounts open after someone 'leaves' so if they change their mind they can have the same name ? I still have no idea why she left and that's irrevelant but hopefully she'll change her mind

even after all my years here I still don't know how that works (leaving and coming back) - maybe if she knows how many people want her back she'll return ?

I say bombard her with emails !

They do. There was another member who left for a while, had "no longer a member" under her name and recently came back. Picked up her screen name and account right where she left off. Admin won't reactivate an account and allow anyone back for a month after they leave though...

well THAT is good to know !

I know when someone is suspended (which she was NOT) that they come back as before (never been suspended but that's my understanding) but never knew how it worked for someone who asked to become inactive

maybe she'll miss us as much as we're going to miss her and changes her mind. I too loved hearing The Bud stories and Carol is a wonderful person - I never met her but you know how you just 'know' sometimes ?

I think I have her mailing address from a previous Christmas Card Exchange... maybe I will give her some time and then send her a letter/card in the mail letting her know how missed her and Buddy are!

That's a good Idea. IF we could send her cards she would know how much we miss her. I am hoping she comes back on as a visitor and see's this thread too. I have last years Christmas card list . I will see if she is on it and send her a card too, in the next couple of weeks.

I have been in contact with Carol and she was indeed banned. She did ask her membership be cancelled and when she came back to see if it had been she got the notice that she was banned and when the ban would be lifted...Never! I believe a great injustice has been served.

No, she was NOT banned. That is the standard message that pops up on your screen anytime your have your account disabled or are suspended. (As anyone who has been suspended can tell you. ) It always says 'banned' for some reason.

My ban was for one week, but if also said "never"!!!!! I beleive I was told that my ban was for a week, my next ban would be for 3 weeks, and the next one would be permanent. If it is her first, she can return and I would not worry about the NEVER part. Perhaps WyliesMmom or Admin can answer that. She was terrific. If good people are banned like that, I think I will just stop coming here.
