| MENOPAUSE...the good, the bad and the ugly... Good - money saver...no more tampons, etc. Bad - heat. I'm always burning up, even in the middle of winter! Ugly - getting hairs in weird places.

| Ok, that video was hilarious! Someone mentioned hairs growing in strange places.......I have these little black ones that appear, all of a sudden, full grown (!) on my chin. I'm slowly starting to look just like my grandmother! And I'm only 44! When does menopause officially start anyway?

| Don't forget the cost of hormones and Prozac , increased airconditioning costs, and hair dye. Note: you might make room in the freezer now because there will be times when you want to put your head in there

| Your responses are too funny!! You're right that it isn't exactly a cost saver when you add in the costs of increase air conditioning, hair dye, electrolysis, waxing, new tweezers, Nair, tissues, increase water bills from getting up three times a night to take a shower, homone drugs, Prozac (lol), and portable fans.

Supposenly you can tell the start date based on your mom's start date. If you have not had your period in a year, then you're going thru it.

| Or...as in my case...you had a hysterectomy and had both ovaries removed. It can start anytime then. I have tried on and off going off of the HRT (hormone replacement therapy), but the one symptom that drives me CRAZY is *****explicit warning! If you don't want TOO MUCH INFORMATION, SKIP THIS POST!!**** vaginal dryness and itching... OMG, that's driven me back to hormones every time. Beat me, anything...just not that!

| I've never taken HRT, but I probably should. There's a new product on the market by K-Y, called "Yours and Mine." It's a personal lubricant that is not greasy. One for you, and one for him. He uses "Yours," and you use "Mine." Very natural. (He uses "Mine" on you, and you use "Yours" on him.) Is this TMI?

I haven't heard of that particular product, but it sounds interesting. Thanks for the info.
