sooooooooo frustrated

ok i pulled the trigger last monday night bought the maytag centennial from sears with warranty etc - bougt it as sales girl has been there for 28 years and swore by this one it is not the one with the stainless steel drum the one right below it. I bought the washer and dryer to match and did not really need dryer yet - NOW THE DRYER squeaks, and makes loud popping noise. I had service come out check everything and they cannot get rid of squeak. He said the popping noise is normal for all dryers now as the valve opens and shuts for gas. I am so irritated and i can return up to 90 days all my money back at sears but are all the dryers like this now? I guess they do not insulate them or something. The washer is working great. They said these are commercial grade so good quality and whirlpool is making these. My client is an appliance repair guy and said return it and go to best buy and get the whirlpool :( Sears does not have a good line of whirlpool only two models

HELP do your dryers snap crackle pop or squeak as the drum goes around :( I have not bought a washer and dryer for 15 years i believe if not even longer than that - i hate shopping for appliances

My Maytag gas dryer does not squeak, but it does make a boom once for each load. It sounds like metal expanding.

If your machine is making that much noise operating, I would be concerned.

thaks yeah the boom sounds like metal expanding and contracting and the belt sounds like a squeaky belt on a car - this stinks
