| By the time my DH and I got hitched we'd been together(this time) 5 years. This was back in 1993. I was 33 years old and apparently my bio clock had already run down. We both were tested, nothing obvious to stop the process, but it just wasn't meant to be. It never fails to infuriate me, tho when people assume that we never "wanted" kids. Now when I'm asked about my kids I just whip out the picture of my little boy (my avatar pic) and say "I'm blessed with just my son right now, but maybe a little girl will be in my future!" This usually shuts up the skinkid questions and opens the door for the furkid ones. |
