Who here is married without kids?
 
I was just curious who here is married and doesn't have any skinkids? Do you ever get tired of people asking you if you have kids or why you don't have kids? I work in child care and I get that question ALL the time. As soon as people find out that I'm 28 and married, they automatically ask that question and are shocked that we don't. I very much want children but DH and I haven't yet been financially stable enough where I feel comfortable with it. Anyone else ever annoyed by these questions?

I've been married for 14 yrs this August and we dont have any kids....AND i'm a Pediatric Nurse LoL Plus i come from a huge Italian family where everyone has kids. I cant have children, but i always came up with excuses when people asked me "when are you going to have kids". I really didnt want to go into the real reason why i couldnt have kids..and personally, i didnt think it was anyone's business, but it always made me feel bad when they asked. People need to learn to think before they speak....they do not know what is going on in a person's life.

You should have kids when YOU are ready...not when others want you to..Just remember that. :)

I am 42, not married but am in a long term relationship. I tried to have kids, but no luck. I have been asked if I have them many times, but it doesn't bother me :)

If people ask ... just tell them you are not done going through your transgender surgery. :rolleyes:

I never could have children and I was always amazed how people would just blurt out their questions about this. I really don't think they meant to be rude or hurt my feelings but how do you go into the reasons be it medical or be it a choice...so I came up with answers that would shut them up right away .. like above.:eek:

that is funny - I am 41 and do not have skin kids and i just tell them the furry ones keep me busy enough and they cured me of wanting them between my nephews and dog health issues lollll I was DONE lol oh and i tell them i am selfish too lollll just so that clears it all up loll

After I pulled my little stunt then I would just start laughing and say no no I was just joking and usually they would say oh thank goodness and forget they even asked the question.:p

I just think everyone wants everybody to be miserable together...just joking..:D

yeah dh says marriage is like flies on a screen door the ones on the outside are trying to get in and the ones on the inside are trying to get out lolllllll

Married, No KID, but i sometimes feel like a mom to my DH and co-workers!!
I'm to freaking selfish and stingy!! What's mine is mine ;)
We dated 10 yr before getting engage, then another 2 before getting married....I JUST HAD TO SURE:D
I married my best friend and would do all over again and not change a thing....AND yes, many times we get the old "when you going to make me a grandma", my reply "when are you adopting your grand kids..."

I'm not even married and my bf and I get questions about when are we having kids (we've been together for five years but still!), umm first off we're not married, can't agree on how to raise our furkids :rolleyes: and I'm only 20! people are crazy. I just smile and laugh, and tell them my dogs are the only babies I need for a loooong time. :)

No kids here.. we have only been married for 2 years though. I don't think I want any kids though. I would rather be an aunt or something cool like that :D Where you get to give them back at the end of the day. I have many reasons why I dont want kids that I won't get into bc I know everyone is different. Let's just say if I did wind up becoming pregnant I wouldn't be really upset about it. It's just something I'm not trying for :rolleyes: No one really asks me when I am having kids except to be sarcastic bc they know how much DH and I don't want kids.
