If you aren't a person that feels that change is needed you are entitiled to your own opinion and I guess move about your day!!! I am speaking to the people who do feel that something needs to change! and obviously there are a ton of them! Again, everyone is entitled to there own opinion that is the point here! We need to allow everyone to voice that opinion along with questions (that might sound stupid to a pro) in order to get educated! The educators can educate all of us with civility and kindness! Am I in the twilight zone? This doesn't seem like a difficult concept to get! Thank you to those who identify with what I am saying and have been supportive of what I am trying to express. Someone warned me earlier that I may be black listed on YT for doing this! Can I just say that I don't care!!! I'm not worried about that! I have a great base of support, a fantastic vet, knowledgeable yorkie friends and people I can go to for advice. I am worried about the people that don't have that and YT is their only means of getting support and the dogs that depend on those owners finding that support here!!!
Please let me clarify my observation about you NOT knowing/following/abiding by the rules of this forum and poor, uncivilized and unacceptable behavior IMHO. I was specifically referring to your posting a POLITICAL tone in your post(s). Not only are you telling us that WE need to change but you then turn your opinion up a notch by commenting on a political note in your posting! Yes, I am offended by your rudeness and lack of grace when it comes to MY feelings and political views. Not sure how your post and several of the other posts in this thread have been overlooked by ADMIN, but making posts that are politically motivated are a breach of the YT rules. I'm sorry but you cannot preach about how YOU want to change YorkieTalk while also voicing a political undertone about President Obama and changes in this country. Now you have offended ME!

I am sure with your vast knowledge and breeding experience, you will provide a wealth of information to the new posters.

As for me, I feel as if I am pi$$ing in the wind, and see no sense if getting you even more emotional. Welcome aboard, and share the knowledge.

I'm not stressed, don't have a guru (whatever the heck that is) and was told by a senior member last night on the phone that proper yorkie talk etiquette is when you start a thread to stay with it, don't leave anything unanswered and try to respond to what people are writing to you! So that's all I was trying to do! If you don't want to see anymore of my comments you can go to a different thread! People have been extremely nice for the most part on this thread today and if YOU read I have thanked them over and over for their comments and for letting me voice my opinion. It seems like your dinged if you do and dinged if you don't here! I'm thrillled with many of the responses today and tons of PM's I've received in support! I am not un happy and plan on staying, getting to work like you said and putting my head down and being the best member of this community that I can be! I know it doesn't look like this based on the first 3 days of me being here but I don't enjoy drama or confrontation, do not plan on making it a habit here or continuing to talk about this past tonight! I just can't stand entitled, mean and rude people when there is no cause for that behavior! And I have personally read every single comment to this thread and tried to the best of my ability to comment back like I was told to do.

Wow!! It must be a tremendous burden to be so perfect.

I have to ask - who here has appeared "threatened"? If anything, we are insulted by you. We love YT the way it is.... we have for years! And you come on here and after a couple of days decide it needs to be changed? Who died and left you in charge?

OMG we get it. Are you done yet? Are you gonna be a part of the REAL YT now or just keep this up?

Beyond me how someone determines in 3 days that a forum needs to be changed, without knowing who's who.....how the site works....the many countless hours spent helping those in need of help via PMs, e-mails and phone calls in the middle of the night, from one coast to the other.........I for one wouldn't want to see that being changed.....

I have absolutely never said or implied that I know everything in fact it's the exact opposite! I have stated several times today in this thread that I am fairly new to the breed and certainly do not know all there is to know about the breed and am eager to learn! Both my dogs have since been fixed so I also have no idea where you are getting that I have said that I am and will continue to breed them! That was an accident of epic proportions! I am not proud of it and have since remedied the situation! I do think I had the best breeder FOR ME and that I think my dogs are the best, brightest and most beautiful dogs on the planet! But just like saying that about our skin kids I realize I am biased and never said anywhere that anyone else should buy from her! If I was approached by a newbie on where to purchase a yorkie I would direct them to a senior member who knows more about breeders than I do! I want to learn all I can about this breed, I just don't want to be whacked over the head with a yorkie schalaylay stick if I choose to think differently about a subject than someone else! This is America not Iran! We are free to coexist and have differing opinions and still be "drinking buddies" at the end of the
day!!

Geez! I'm just making one mistake after another it seems! I apologize for offending someone who didn't like what they thought were political undertones in my examples! The title "bring change to YT" had nothing to do with the political figure that used the word change! Stinks that now everyone associates the word change with politics! My examples were just an examples and were the best ones I could come up with at the time! I wasn't trying to give a political opinion. Honestly. It won't happen again, I will find another way to express my thoughts with another type of example!

maryeverett1, I'm just going to respond specifically to something you said about sticking with a thread and answering posts. This is definitely good ettiquette when you post to the Sick/Injured forum, or start a thread saying something is wrong with your dog. However, if the thread is an argument and just goes around and around and around... it's okay to stop responding.

I suggest you ask admin to close this thread (only you can do that, unless someone reports a post). At this point, I think everyone's said what they had to say, and I personally think it's getting nasty again.

See you on the boards.

Really a great post and I appreciate your opinions and insights.....

Can I say something ? Saying you want to be 'welcoming' to new people isn't what I'm seeing so far ......I realize you've just been here a couple of days but it's done every single day many times over ....If it were so snobby and rude with all these huge 'ego's - I don't think it would have the number of members it has nor would so many have been here as long as some have ....don't you think ?

You had a rocky start and from what I saw - you were right there with some pretty bold comments to people yourself - why not just let it go ?

Maybe spend a little time looking around before judging a whole site that's been online for years now.....and ps - WELCOME to the site - I never posted before I don't think to you but hopefully this all will be put to rest soon....

Mardelin- I agree! I wouldn't want to see that type of help changed either! All I know is how I was treated and have had countless messages from other people today who have been treated similarly in the past! I know there are amazing people on YT who are extremely helpful and supportive! And you are right, 3 days is not adequate time to know everything there is to know about everything on the site! If anyone is being treated rudely however, and I was personally, that isn't helpful and should be unacceptable to those who love this breed and want to help educate others. I'm not throwing stones in criticism of the entire site and all it's members! Just the ones who were out of line on a new person's very first day on the site! I'm going to do my best to get around the site and get to know people and be a good member. Not trying to be a pot stirrer. Just bringing up what seems to be a simple point is all.

You're right this is America and you are entitled to your opinion. But, you are doing exactly what you are accusing others of doing.....

But, you've come to a YT forum of some pretty knowledgable yorkie people (breeders and non-breeders) that are passionate about dogs and what makes a good breeder and what doesn't.
