| Can you un-shrink wool? I just bought the cutest J. Crew light pink wool sweater shell and matching button up cardigan...well...I had it in the closet with a few other things I intended to take to the cleaners. Long story short...I had carpal tunnel surgery on my right arm last Wednesday so my loving husband has been doing house work, making beds, cooking and yes, you guessed it...laundry. So, (you can see where I'm headed with this, right?) now my question is this...can you un-shrink wool? |

| Yah, I'm afraid I might have one too now...good thing I have a bunch of neices...maybe I can pass it down to one of them! And you know...I can't even complain about it...after all, he was being a good husband and helping me. |

My girls do look good in pink but they are so warm blooded I'd never get them to wear sweaters. Maybe I'll try to wash it again and block it when it comes out...if not I'll start thinking about which one of my neices it will look good on! | |

| I am an avid knitter and have seen this happen on many occasions. The only method that I would recommend is a conditioner soak. Take a lukewarm tub of water and hair conditioner, I know sounds weird huh, and just place your sweater gently in the tub. Let it soak in the tub until the yarn is soaked through. Then take and press out the excess water, not squeezing. Then lay it down on your blocking material, or on a towel, and gently stretch it. If you have blocking pins that would also be helpful. Hope this works for you.....Best of luck... |

| Thank you...I took another look at my 'little' sweater today...how sad! I'll give the conditioner soak a try and see if it helps. Quote:
