| Mid Atlantic BLIZZARD! Greetings from Baltimore where we are awaiting the arrival of a HUUUUGGGEE winter storm. Supposedly we will see 24+ inches of snow between now and Saturday evening Anyone else in the area? What are you doing to prepare? Or what fun are you planning to have? I am at the office which is about a 1 mile from my house so I don't really have any transportation issues. If I have to I can walk back and forth. Planning to stop at the market later to get a few food provisions, but nothing major. Tomorrow Jack and I are planning to walk over to a bar in Fells Point called One Eyed Mikes. They have a snowball fight and snowman building competition planned. Should be hilarious! We'll meet some friends and probably just enjoy the snow. Hopefully the drifts won't be so bad that we can't walk over. My friend may come down and spend the weekend with us, if so Rem will have 2 beagles to hang out with. Three dogs in the condo, sheesh! |

| Greetings from Northern Virginia. I cannot believe we are going through this again. Luckily our neighbor bought an industrial size riding mower with a front loader. Hope he shovels our driveway again. Stay safe and warm! |

| I'm in Annapolis and not looking forward to it. I am SO sick of snow. Jackson, on the other hand, is sooo excited. He's been extra happy today and when the snow started falling, he started running around outside. lol. We decided to get snowed in over at my dad's house, since he has a fenced in yard so I won't have to worry about Jackson so much and he has 2 doggy friends to play in the snow with! We're preparing just in case we lose power from the wind and my dad set our RV all up (TV and generator and everything!) so we have a place to go. Imagine, 4 people and 3 dogs and 2 cats thrown into an RV! Yikes! We'll probably be stuck until Sunday or Monday because our driveway is LONG and very hard to get out of. We have 2 ATV's (four wheelers) that are sooo much fun in the snow (I know, redneck, right? ) so we were riding in them today before it got too bad! Earlier today, I played 30 minutes of frisbee with Jackson and took him for 20 minute walk just to get some of his energy out for the next few days when we're stuck!

I'm dreading having to keep Maximo entertained tomorrow. He gets really nuts if he can't go out for his walks. We don't have sidewalks in our neighborhood, and the street is a risky proposition when the snow is really deep. Previous snowstorms, we walked in the tire tracks. When a car came along, we had to jump into a snowbank. | |

| Since I live in the city - in a commercial condo building - I don't think we have any possibility of losing power. If we do, I can get over to my office and hang out here - full bathroom, kitchen, tv. Add a blow up bed and it can be home Its 33 degrees right now so nothing is sticking - yet. Heavy stuff is on its way. My parents are in the county, much more remote. Spoke with them this morning and they are prepping in case of power failure. Wood for fireplaces, extra blankets, they are on a well so they have buckets of water stored, etc. One of their neighbors has a generator so if worst comes to worst they will head next door. Funny, my mom was stressing about all the food in the deep freezer... I said you know if the power is out for more than 48 hours - toss it all into the snow! At least that made her laugh... LOL... they're tough, they'll be fine. I just hope the drifts aren't too bad so I can get over to the snowman building contest tomorrow |

| Wow, we are expecting 6-8 inches where I live! They called off school before any snow started, which is becoming the norm anymore!

| LOVE IT.....Cannot wait. As for us, we are totally stocked up on everything, as I bake all the time. We have nothing else to do but to sit back and just enjoy it. It has been coming down all day and is really starting to get thick! It is so pretty outside right now I cannot even begin to tell you! |

| I can't believe the weather this winter- EVERYWHERE but Ontario is getting hammered- I can still see grass- Usually our snow banks are so high they have to be cut down for driving safety. We seem to be in a safe zone this year for whatever reason- i'm not complaining but I know it won't be like this next year! |
