| Holy Moly!! Tiffany bracelet adventure. So Jer bought me a Tiffanys Peretti bracelet. It is the diamonds by the yard to match my necklace. He teared up when he gave it to me. So I went out dancing this weekend. At the end of the night my sister wanted to go to the bathroom before going home so I went with her. I was fixing my hair and felt something on the bottom of my shoe... It was my diamond bracelet!!! (stuck to the bottom of my shoe) I had been walking around with it! Goodness I feel so lucky. It must have fallen when I was dancing and I just happened to step on it. The clasp fell off, so Tiffanys is going to pick it up and repair it. I just had to share this odd story because it freaked me out but I was so relieved!

| WOW! What a close call. No, I take that back. It's a sign that you are SUPPOSED to have this bracelet. I am so glad that all turned out well. I hope Tiffany's does a thorough cleaning and replaces the clasp with on that has a safety chain. A similar thing happened to me. I was at the barn, looked down and noticed that three of the four prongs holding the nearly perfect .75 carat emerald cut diamond in my engagement ring were broken. The diamond was just hanging there. Hummmm I took that as a sign too -- DO NOT WEAR DIAMOND TO BARN |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | OMG, you are *so* lucky you didn't lose it!!! I love diamonds by the yard, so pretty. Elsa Peretti has always been one of my faves. Have you thought about adding this piece to your insurance? I would !

| Holy cow! You are lucky. I had a similar story. My DH bought me 1 karat diamond stud earrings about 7 or 8 years ago. I promptly put them in my second pierced ear hole and move on. For 8 stinking years those earrings were in my ears except for the times I'd remove, clean, and put them back on. In May of 2008 I went to Canada on business. On my return flight as the plane was moments from landing in Newark I reached up to scratch my ear lobe and......yep. No diamond stud! My heart sank to my toes! We tore the seats apart on the plane and everything looking for this earring and I left my business card with the Stewardess in case they came across it cleaning up the plane between flights. Sadly, I had spent 2.5 days in Canada and have no clue when the earring went missing. I called all the places I had been and asked them to keep an eye out for it. But it was never found. This Xmas my sweet DH replaced them for me with an even bigger and prettier set. It's not a good feeling to know a diamond is missing. You are ONE lucky lady!

| No way was my diamonds as expensive as yours, but I lost one of the diamond earrings that hubby bought me. He bought them a yr ago and I had them in the top holes of my ear. Like the poster above, I reached up and one was gone. I was very upset, they were my first diamond earrings. I cried so hard. So my hubby, either very dumb (It might happen again) or very loving bought me a new pair for my bday last week. He told the jeweler what happened and he sd next time go more pricier and get screw backs. Have been too nervous to put the new ones in.

| My Mother gave me an old, old 3 diamond platinum ring that belonged to her mother and I wore it for about 3 years. In Oct the day before we went to Seattle to visit my daughter, I drove from our main hospital campus to the smaller hospital to see a couple of patients. One of the patients was a very large bed ridden person. I had the staff help me roll him so I could examine him and afterward took off my gloves, went in the bathroom to wash my hands and noticed one of the diamonds was missing. I looked all over the bathroom, dug through the trash looking for my gloves, searched the pt's room, and had the staff rolling pt over so I could look under again. No diamond I finished seeing pts, totally depressed-my trip to Seattle was starting on a bad note. As I went to get in my car to go home, the sun lite hit something sparkling in the rubber floor mat. It was the diamond I lost. I have not worn the ring since as I'm afraid to turn it over to a jeweler for repair.
