Mother held as son made to kill pet

All I can say, is I'm so glad the boy was able to tell his teacher, and I'm so glad that the teacher actually sought help. I've heard of teachers in the past, hearing horrendous things, but didn't want to get involved. So I guess something about this story is positive. What in the world is wrong with that mother? I pray she and her son can get the help they need. If they only imprison her, the son will feel guilty about telling, few children want their parents to go to jail, no matter how horrible the parent is.

I agree with this too Nancy, however, he needs counseling to help
him understand his mother is "sick" and it was not his fault she went
to jail. I hope this poor boy get's the help he needs. Hopefully a family
member can be a guardian as opposed to foster care. Sadly FC can
do damage to children as well.
His mother is truly very, very sick.

How terrible!!! Surely she could have thought of some other punishment for her child - take the pet away if you have to - but to have him actually kill it!!! Thank goodness it was reported and the authorities acted on it!!!
