I'm *pretty* sure my Charlie is half JRT and he is the sweetest dog I have ever met. Like someone else said, he is really the only dog I've seen that can handle Tobie's playfulness. Also, he is the ONLY dog that my parent's chihuahua likes. People love him, dogs love him.... He's a pretty popular guy. LOL. |

I like all breeds - each has a beauty in of their own but admit - I AM scared of pitts until I get to know them - my neighbor has one named 'Stink' and he's GINORMOUS - when I first met them and would be walking my girls - I'd always pick them up and go a different way. I got to know Chris who rescued him - then Stink and now I let him stand on his hind legs and kiss me. (Stink the dog - not Chris - though Chris is REALLY cute) He's such a good dog. He's as tall as me too :p I still pick up the girls though oh - edited to add - someone mentioned Chows - They DO scare me. I've never known one that didn't look like it wanted a piece of me - |
I'm not going to speak for the entire breed, but when I was a teenager my parents got me a dalmatian (this was when the movie came out and they were the "it" dog to have!). This was the most retarded dog I have ever met in my life! It didn't matter how much time and effort we spent trying to train this dog, he would do nothing but bite and snip at us (not in an angry way, but just playing) like that was the only way he knew how to play! It was so aggrevating and I was so upset because he was the first (and last) dog I ever had and I was so excited about getting him! It got to the point to where you better have on some old clothes that you hated when you went around him, because they were going to be destroyed! But, I hear storied that most of them are ridiculous like this! |
I tend to like all breeds but there are a few breeds that I would never own, I know I wouldn't be able to handle them. Chow chow is the only breed that I can think of that I don't really like. I've met a ton of chow chows and chow mixes and every one of them was mean. I know it's mostly not their fault though, I know the breed well and I know they take a more firm and very experienced owner to turn out right. My dad has a chow/golden retriever mix. She is sweet with me as I've known her since she was a puppy. But to any stranger she will immediately bite them. When they take her to the vet they have to sedate her and muzzle her because she is that aggressive. I have no idea how she turned out this way. They socialized her, did everything they were suppose to. |
I would never own a Lhasa. A Shih Tzu was developed from a Lhasa and peke, neither have a great temperment in general but of course, there are always exceptions. I am very cautios taking on knew grooming clients that are Lhasa's or Shih Tzus for that matter. |

I "DID NOT" like Yorkshire Terrier Before I have Sugar in my life, I always think Yorkshire Terrier is weird because of the long black hair...I didn't like it at all. The day I met Sugar I was thrilled and it was like "love at first sight", instantly I knew she's the one!! Sugar didn't look like baby Yorkshire terrier, she looked like a small teddy bear (HAHAHA, I have no idea but then I think all baby yorkies look like bear?). The lady told me she's a Yorkie and I was shocked. Initially I went there to check the Toy Poodle (was my favourite) but I just couldn't feel the love with the Toy Poodle I saw. I picked Sugar up, stared into her eyes... I didn't want to let her go and I MUST have her. AND NOW, I love every bits of her including the long hair, and my favourite breed now is Yorkshire Terrier!!! :D |

Ahhhhh, this is why I've been thinkin' that you're doing a good job of living up to your screen name "Miss Behavin" ;) Blunt can be good in a way. At least everyone knows exactly what you're thinking. My family is German. I can't speak any (except for a few swear words) |
There are only two breeds that I absolutely refuse to own: Jack Russell Terriers- I have a friend who owns one, and she is one the the most aggressive dogs I know. She chews rocks, and chases strangers down. She is known to attack and bit strangers... NOT something I want! Standard Poodles- I visit the dog park frequently, and they are far too obsessive for me. Every standard poodle that sees Couver cannot leave him alone. It frustrates me when I take him to the park and he cannot move around without a poodle in his face. I do not enjoy the look of the brachiocephalic dogs. I do not find them cute in any way :p |

I have a shih tzue/Yorkie mix and my sister had a full Shih tzue. both are fast as lightning and very very smart. I learned my baby trick after trick and she learned each trick with in minutes.mine runs so fast to the ground it runs circules around my house before we even know what happened lol I can tell mine to give me a kiss and it will come give me a kiss and knows the word hug, sit, lay, sown.sit pretty., come ( but will only come when shes in the house) learning her to come when out side, its getting better. the only thing I dont like in the shih tzue is the cotton hair.love the looks but mats very easy. I love all dogs and have had many breeds in my life time. they can all be smart when learned. |
I personally am not a fan of chihuahuas. I've met too many snappy mean chihuahuas!!! Plus I don't think they are that cute as they age. Idk just my opinion! |
