| ![]() I love cartoons and I am 34 (how sad) not that I am 34 but that I love cartoons. I am a wife and a mother and love it. I am in school and was going to be a dental hygienist but now looks like I will become a nurse. I do not curse much at all don’t drink much may be once a year. I am African American and my husband is white. I hate when people say that I act white! What does a white person act like? I act like me and that’s the only way I know how to act. My husband is God sent he is truly my other half. I have 3 kids that sometimes drivers me crazy but they are also truly wonderful. I have 3 dogs’ two cats & two lizards ( the lizards are actually my daughters) I hate talking to people on the phone. When I used to live in my home town I would try to ignore or walk the other way if I happened to see someone I went to high school with. I hated my high school and almost everyone in it ( only African American in the whole school got picked on a lot) that’s all I can think about myself I not to interesting not to talented that why I married someone that is. | ![]() I have four children and they are all totally jealous of their fur-siblings - to the point where it's obvious. I LOVE to read and I read constantly - which drives my family crazy since I don't hear them talking to me when I'm reading. I found a dead body once. I know something really really bad about my BIL and I've never told my sister because I don't want to hurt her or cause major family friction. My sister is one of my best friends. I'm lazy. I cry every time I watch "Dumbo" and they take his mommy away from him in chains.

| ![]() I'm 55 years old with three children, and two grand children. A little boy named Owen, and a little girl named Brooklyn. I don't curse a lot. I think because the older I get the more I worry about landing up in hell. Like everyone else I'm overloaded with bills, and it worrys me to death. I love my furkids, swimming, reading, sewing, and Fanta orange soda. We're moving from Florida to Missouri in the next six months, and I'm so excited. I guess I'm kind of weird, because I love snow, especially when there's a nice fire going in the fireplace. I was going to become a Special Education teacher, but I felt like by the time I finshed I'd be ready to retire, so I volunteer instead. It's one of the most rewarding things I've ever done in my life. My son's girlfriend lives with us now with my grandaughter, and she's such a joy to have around. She's the only one in the house who ever helps me out. She was really shy when she first moved in, but now we're great friends. I love being on yorkietalk, but avoid threads with drama. I just like to come here and relax, and listen to all your stories.

| ![]() ..shivers... I can't even begin to imagine finding a dead body. I could never step foot into a funeral home in the back where they keep all the bodies. I DO NOT and CAN NOT deal with dead bodies. I can barely handle funerals. I don't deal well with death. My great grandmother passed away this past February and my grandmother had taken her in, so that she could pass at home, and not at a nursing home. Well I called my grandma one day and she said, Oh Danielle, I'm so glad you called. Grandma passed away this morning and we are waiting for the ambulance to get here to take her body." ![]() ![]()

I just remembered, I did see two dead bodies before, but I was not that close. It was about 5 or 6 years ago in Vegas over labor day weekend. We (me, bf, and our friends hubby and wife) got a suite in a small hotel across from the Orleans casino, not a very snazzy part of town. But we got it there b/c it has 2 seperate bedrooms and a kitchen. Well we were getting ready to go out and we hear "pop pop pop pop pop!" I thought, well someone's been saving there firecrackers. Then later we hear sirens and we look out the window (we are on the 2nd floor) and what do we see. Two guys hanging out the car, doors still open, I guess they were gonna try to get away, trails of blood coming from them. Obviously they were already long gone, otherwise they would have been rushed to the hospital. And they were TWO spaces away from our car! The scene was all taped off so we couldn't get anything out of our car and we had to take a cab instead. When we got back the next morning (hey it's vegas afterall) there was a guy just BARELY hosing down the parking lot. YUCK

Man was that an adventure, and in Vegas no less. Seeing that I think is not as emotionally damaging as someone close to you. For example... I grew up with my mom's best friend and her family. She was like a second mom to me and when we got a phone call in June about her, her husband, and her son having died in a car accident on their way home from church we were all broken. My fam and I contacted the two surviving daughters and when they finally flew in from TN, they asked to be escorted to the hospitals to see their loved ones. They even had me walk in to the room where their brother passed and his body was still there. It was the strangest thing!! You would think that was bad enough, but later that night the organ donar people wanted to know what they could take and what they couldn't. One of the daughters had me sit with her and asked me to help make the decisions of what was ok and not ok to take from their mom and brother's dead body. When I finally got to see my mom's best friend and her husband and son at the wake, all I could think about is what was missing from the shallow things that were sitting in that room. I'll spare the details but I was freaking out and couldn't walk in to a room where I knew these people when they were alive and happy and to compare them to what was in that room.... I'm sorry I just couldn't do it.

| ![]() I have seen dead bodies before in my A&P class we worked on them but they had plastic garbage bags over there heads. We worked on a man and a woman and after two years of working on them the school would have a funeral for them. My husband hated it because when I came home I would smell like the embalming fluid. It was kind of gross but after a while it did not bother me so much. I think that it would be much different to experience a dead body that was not in a clinical atmosphere. |

| ![]() I am 22-years-old and am a semester away from graduating with my Elementary Education degree. I will be starting my master's degree next semester. I think that education is important, and I am almost scared of the real world... I've joked about just going to school for the rest of my life ![]() I've always loved animals, so no one is surprised that I have two cats and a dog in a one bedroom apartment. I have been married for just over a year and have no desire to have kids yet. I think we might eventually, but we are still somewhat undecided. I just don't see the rush that a lot of people my age have...I am a very independent woman, but love the companionship of my husband. He is my best friend and my rock. I am a grammar freak. Always have been, and always will be... I love editing papers and picking apart spelling and grammar mistakes. I'm weird. I cannot cook. I actually think it's more that I don't want to cook. I prefer to eat out... it's an expensive habit! Couver is my world, and I do not know where I would be without him. He makes me excited to wake up every morning. I would rather spend money on him than myself. DH is in love with him too ![]()

Donating YT 7000 Club Member | ![]() re: the dead body coversation. I, thank God, have never seen a newly dead body. But even seeing a dead body in a funeral home makes me SO upset. I am trying to manage it because whenever one of my friends loses someone, I really want to be there for them. So I always go to wakes when someone dies, but I can rarely stay in the room with the body. Usually I'll sit in the other room and keep my friend company. Most recently I went to my 2nd Grade teacher's wake. That was absolutely devestating. She was one of my favorite teachers and we always stayed close with her (my brother had her too). She came to all of our big parties, etc. The last time I saw her was at my brother's Eagle Scout Award ceramony. I am so grateful that I got to sit and talk with her for a while. Her death was VERY sudden and extremely unexpected (the night she died, she had just gotten back from dinner with friends, and suffered a massive stroke and died). The funeral home that took care of her did a HORRIBLE job and the body looked nothing like her - that made my fear of death even worse. ![]() I have stuff to add about myself ![]() I'm OCD. A lot. When I get "in the mood" to organize something, I am ridiculous. If the cat kicks litter out of her litter box in the middle of the night, I litterally can't sleep until I vaccuum it up. My closet is organized by type of clothes (long sleeved, short sleeved, jeans, sweaters, etc) and all of the hangers have to be on the same way. and dust irks me like crazy. People must think I'm rude because I'll walk around wiping dust off of stuff in their house! It's horrible! I don't think peoples' homes are dirty, but if I see dust I just can't help it! It's very sucky!! I'm also a horrible pack rat. I can't throw away old papers. I don't know why. I have a backpack from almost every year of school, filled to the brim with every paper I saved from that year. Sometimes it's fun cause I can look back at my old work, but usually it's just annoying cause it's all in the way. When I got into my last major organizing mood (this past weekend) I organized my ENTIRE room and finished unpacking (I moved in in April LOL) and I forced myself to throw away about a years' worth of papers. It litterally made me feel sick. It's terrible.

| ![]() Ok, you asked for it LOL. I am 39 years old, and divorced my kid's deadbeat Dad 9 years ago. He sucked as a father then and sucks worse now. Example: He refused to fly from Tampa to MS to be with my son when he had surgery to have a spinal cord tumor removed because he and his fiance had a cruise to the Bahama's scheduled for the next week!! He bounced his last 2 child support checks, but has money to go to concerts that he brags to the kids about on the phone. I never talk bad about him to them, seriously they are 18, 16, and 14 and very intelligent. He is digging his own hole with them. I remarried 4 years ago and shocked this little Mississippi town by marrying a black man. No I'm not on drugs, not white trying to be black, not uneducated, and not crazy. I just fell in love with my husband for who he was and since I'm a grown ass woman, didn't care who had a problem with our races. We have since gone on to raise our 5 kids (his and mine) and do a pretty dang good job of it considering my 18 year old is ranked #2 out of her class of 152 seniors this year. Not to mention, Diva thinks he is a God and he's the best yorkie dad ever, even though he's a big ole police officer (6'2 and around 280lbs and don't take crap off anyone, LOL). The only issue I have with him is that he is the reason Diva is overweight. He can't say no to her!! I don't like Drama and do not tolerate people that do like it. Seriously, I have enough real problems of my own without worrying about what everyone else in the town has going on. Ignorant redneck fools get on my last nerve and I have been known to tell them that on more than one occassion. I care about animals. If you don't that's your problem. If you don't like my pets, don't come to my house. Trust me, I will not miss you. If my only friends were my pets, I would not be unhappy. I believe that God will judge us for how we treat animals and humans in need. You can go to church every Sunday, but if you mistreat animals and vulnerable humans, you better like very hot weather! Apparently the older I get the less tolerant I get of stupidity in general. If it weren't for Celexa, I would probably have gotten in trouble by now. LOL |

![]() As for the dead body thing... I HATE funerals too. Since my 5 year old brother died in 2006, it's been extremely hard for me. The image of him laying in there... it haunts me every day. I almost didn't even want to go, but I knew I just had to. He looked like himself, he looked freakin' adorable, but there was NO way that was my LITTLE brother in a casket. It's a mind blowing thing that will never leave you. I've been to many viewings, as had many of the ppl there at my brother's, but 99% of people had never seen a child at a wake. It was a chilling experience. I remember just grabbing onto his hand and never wanting to let go. I still miss him so much.

| ![]() Just checking back in, so interesting to learn a little about everyone ![]() RE - dead body topic....I've seen two. Horrifying. One had literally washed up in the Inner Harbor and Remy and I came across him on our walk in the morning. Awful. Absolutely awful. Remy knew something was wrong too, he wanted to get away fast. The medical examiner had just arrived and they were taking pictures, etc. Felt like I was part of CSI. Second time was this past summer at the beach when my friends and I happened upon the scene of a hit and run. Some guy was hit by a car on a bridge. The driver had left the scene, and the guy who had been hit was clearly dead. Sorry, if you get grossed out stop reading NOW............ his head was split open and literally his brains were all over the road. I very nearly became sick. We called 911, no police or anything had arrived yet, and stopped traffic in both directions - the cars would have literally driven through his parts. The image is burned into my mind. It was horrific. We found out the next day that the police identified the driver and arrested him. How could you just leave the scene like that? I understand you'd be scared, you just killed someone, but come on! At least accept some responsibility for what you did. |
