I get the flu shot when it is convient for me....meaning I happen to be in the right place at the right time.....I did get the flu shot this year but it is more because I took my mom to get her shot and thought why not I am going to be traveling a lot over seas throughout October and into November and it couldnt hurt....I have had flu shots numerous times and never suffered any side efffects. Most of our patients get them and we have not had one reported side effect.

I have read MANY things for the swine flu shot and many things against the shot. For every article against the shot there is an article for the shot. It is a tough decision to make arguements on both sides are great.....

I'm with jp4m2. I do not plan to take the H1N1 vaccine. As a matter of fact I don't take the regular flu vaccine anymore. I'm more on the prevention bandwagon; eating healthy, taking care of myself, etc. The body is designed to take care of itself if we will just give it what it needs.

The research is out there...Vitamin D is very effective in keeping us healthy.....Vitamin D is more effective and safer than vaccines but you won't see it on the main stream news......The pharmaceutical company doesn't want people to get wise to this so they create fear....Fear sells and it sells big.....They are going to make billions from this vaccine!.......

My Dr. has recently said he reccomends 20 minutes outside a dady WITHOUT sunscreen because the health benefits are tremendous!!!

Yes, vitamin D. I do take it on a regular basis (especially when I can't get out in the sun). And I agree, Big Pharma is all about making $$.

I am a school teacher and I take my Vitamins (especially vitamin C) on a regular basis and I also exercise and eat healthy. I have been a teacher for 17 years and never had the flu or had a flu shot. This year (about 5 weeks ago) students were absent in my class in clusters of 5 and 6 students a day. They all went to the hospital and tested negative for H1N1, some were treated with Tamiflu until the results came back. All the results have been negative for H1N1 but they did have influenza. 3 weeks ago I got really sick, headache ,nausea and fever,cough. My doctor tested me for H1N1 and put me on Tamiflu and when my results came back negative he put me on Levaquin for the sinus infection. I was in bed for 3 days (highly unlikely for me) and everything hurt. It is a tough decision to make I don't know how someone with a compromised immune system would handle this. My doctor says he doesn't recommend the vaccine. As to the flu shot I have to wait 20 days before I get it. But I don't think that I will; of course I say that now that I am feeling better.

Glad to hear you are feeling better! Please research the side effects of Levaquin.
