| This is what I read. My babies are well socialized as I am with then from birth until they go to their new loving homes. My studs are 3.5 lbs. and moms are 5 to 6 lbs. I often have tiny babies born 4 to 5 lb. range. I offer a one year health guarantee, current on all shots and registration papers. Also a puppy pack with sample food end quote} The reason I didn't say she was gorgeous was I never found her and was more interested in the breeder at the moment. Shoot I wish I never posted LOL Going back for what I read, I found her and she is not being sold for breeding and she is gorgeous and if that is what she wants.....go look. I need another cup of coffee.

| I'm quoting what she had on her one of her first pages. I'll get the link to it.

The 3 Musketeers Donating Member | Go to petfinder.com. That is where my friends found a maltese for me. Her name is Cassie and she is now 9 weeks old and follows me everywhere. When I take a shower, she sits outside the shower door and cries until I magically appear. She's really a doll. Check my album on my page and you'll see her.

| Holy Yorkie Poop! I need something stronger than coffee after reading all this! LOL Please don't worry about posting? I think this should be a place were we can all post anything we want to know about. I was too curious as to why this would not be a good breeder. I bought Maddie from a breeder who was currently lived in an apt., her kennal had been burned up in an arson case and Maddie's parents were the only ones the firemen were able to get too. I couldn't love her anymore. I was looking for a pet, not a shw dog or breed dog. I am extremely uninformed, I guess, when it comes to 'breeders'. IMO I would visit and check things out. If you feel good about it go for it! These little babies need good homes too! Good luck and THANK YOU for your post! I have learned A LOT!!!!! |

YT 500 Club Member | Go to the link that Ladysmom provided and you will find tons of breeders also visit spoiledmaltese. The members on here who are saying go witha reputable breeder are not telling you this out of spite but out of things they have experienced from having a badly bred dog of the maltese, yorkie or any other breed. Its your decision though and whatever you choose,I hope you are happy and do not have to deal with someone who is only out to make dollars,I hope you find someone who cares about the maltese breed and test what they produce. Good luck.

| I know how difficult it can be to find a reputable breeder. Especially right now, all the good breeders that I felt comfortable with were either not breeding their girls, or not breeding as often, citing the economy. And well that's fine, and totally understandable, it does make it even more difficult than normal to find a decent breeder that might actually have a pup within the near future. After almost 4 months of searching (just for a breeder) we finally found one we liked (and who was very well respected by all the other breeders who referred us to her), only to be told that she had a 3 year old male, neutered, for $4000. She was well aware that we wanted a younger dog or a pup for pet purposes only. The dog was not show quality or the star of her breeding program (obviously, hence the neuter), so we could not fathom paying that much for a good pet--maybe if I wanted to show my dogs it would be a different story. Anyway, moral of the story is I know how difficult it can be to find a reputable breeder. Just be patient and make sure you're comfortable. Definitely go and meet the lady you're interested in, check out everything. Ask for references of people she's sold to in the past and check those out. I'm also from Illinois originally, and I looked for breeders there too when I was looking. It's difficult. In fact, we found a pup we would've been comfortable adopting from the humane society where my parents live, but the humane society in _____ville is known for being a royal pain in the a**, and sure enough, they wouldn't let my parents adopt the dog for us because we don't have a fenced in yard. That being said, our community association does not allow fences--we all have big yards that are connected, and we live NEXT DOOR to a dog park. Sorry if I'm rambling, but I truly know how difficult it can be to find your baby. My fiance purchased a maltese puppy from a lady near Champaign several years ago--he had to give her up to his girlfriend at the time when they broke up (it still breaks his heart ), but I know it was a great dog for him, so I could ask him if he knows her contact info still--I'll post it here if he knows. Sorry you're having a tough time, and just go with what feels right to you, you're the one that has to live with the dog! |

YT Addict | I everyone thanks for all your posting and opinions. WELL I WENT AND CHECKED HER OUT YESTERDAY. When i was driving their its about 2 hrs away from me i really thought i was going to see a puppy mill and prepared myself for it. My boyfriend is from Indiana and i seen them before it a horrible site. Honestly her website saying that she had a big dog house and all that made me worry it really makes you think she is a puppy mill. She lives in a very beautiful area it was so clean and fresh. Living in Chicago and the crowded suburbs the air quality their was amazing. When i pulled up to her house it was really cute when we got out of the car we were greeted by a big lab and a few older Malteses. When i really looked at her house all i seen in her yard in this very green grass were a bunch of bright white cute little fluff balls running around. Barb greeted me vary quickly as she was out playing with them. She is a very nice woman. I felt so much better because She is absolutely NOT a puppy mill.. The house where she keeps her dogs is only a few feet away from her house. And she also keeps them in her house as well. Its really cute they really have their own house. NO cages no nothing like that She did have very big play pens for the little ones can play and wont run away to far because she has a lot of land. Everything was very clean and having that many dogs you would think it would have a urine smell but absolutely nothing very fresh. And her dogs were very clean she spends a lot of time giving them baths and cleaning their faces because they were all very clean and white. Her website really doesn't do her justice. Well we got to talking and i asked her all the hard questions and she passed with me. She does this for a living she says this is all she does and it looked to me like she was telling the truth because everything looked so taken care of. i didn't even step in a piece of poop with 20 little ones running around my feet. You can tell she loves her dogs and the breed. We began to look for a dog for me and all the dogs outside were so cute and beautiful but non stood out to me like yes this is my dog. So she said hold on ill be right back and she came out her house with my new baby girl. You know that feeling when its like yes that is the one. I didn't even want to look at any other puppies. Barb is a very good match maker. Well now i have a new baby girl and oh my god is she cute. I will post pictures. i did not end up with GiGi i ended up with a 4 month old baby girl. She comes with a one year health warranty but said she does take her dogs back if something was not to work out. And will give you a different dog. But im keeping her. She fits right in with my yorkies they love her. I think she is a wonderful person to buy a dog from. My little girl in healthy clean and very well socialized. i ended up giving her a bath because my boyfriend is not used to pure white dogs and on the way home we got Mcdonalds and he got ketchup on her (boys...). but She was really good with the bath and it didn't bother her at all nor did the blow dryer. I put her in a cage last night with my yorkies and all she did was whine. She is not used to cages at all and does not like them so she slept with us. She is amazing at potty training she goes immediately when we take her out. She has her vet check tomorrow. I really had a really wonderful experience with this breeder. And would recommend her to anyone looking for a Maltese. sorry that was long |
