| My dad is going to the hospital... So my sister called me this morning and told me that my dad was having abdominal pain, flank pain and nausea. We told him to go to the hospital because he was in a lot of pain. He went to an urgent care and it was so full he couldn't get in right away so he was going to go home!! He said he was feeling faint and he was practically in tears from all the pain. Finally I told my sister to make him go. Luckly, his ex girlfriend came down and drove him to another place abd they were able to give him something for the pain. We are thinking it is kidney stones from the symptoms and the doc ordered xrays. My two sisters are headed up to see him and to make sure everything goes okay. I am so nervous and scared even though it is probably just kidney stones. He is 52 and just retired last year... He was a truck driver and it just seems like most of his friends that retired had some sort of health problem in the first year after retirement and quite a few died within the first five years!!! I know it's probably going to be okay but I am just so scared it will be worse. My dad is my rock and i wouldn't be the person that I am today without him. I am such a strong person because of him but the thought of something happenig to him jus kills me.

| Sorry your dad is not feeling well. Hopefully it is just a nasty kidney stone and he will be good as new soon. They say kidney stones are so painful. Hugs to you and wishing dad a speedy recovery!

| My older sis is pregnant and my dad said that now he knows what she is going to go through! I'll have to tell her that. This week has just been crazy and then this...ugh... I'm stressed. I did get some possible good news about an ICU position yesterday... So maybe next week will be better.

| The flu is really nasty right now, with severe stomach pains. I went to the ER the other night with really bad pains and they told me it was the flu after doing bloodwork, said it was pretty bad this year. I wasn't sure they were right but it seems to be letting up a little finally now. Whitney |

| Could be a kidney infection too. Hope he gets an answer soon and that it's nothing more serious. Try not to worry and keep us updated.

| We are sending lots of well wishes to your dad. Hope all goes well and he comes home soon. I know it's really scary when they are in pain and you don't know what to do or why they are in pain. Prayers being sent your way.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Hoping your Dad is doing OK. Same thing happened to my birth son several months back and he ended up in ER. Cat scan showed a stone. They gave him something for the pain and he passed it a few days later. I had one once and my Dad and brother too. They are worse than childbirth! Good luck on the position!!

| Well my sisters are with my dad, before they sent him for xrays they gave him a shot so he was feelig better. It is kidney stones... Sad to say, but thank goodness. :P he is feelig better, especially since we know what it is for sure. They gave him vicodine for the pain to take home. and now it is just a waiting game. I am so relieved that it wasn't something else. thank you to everyone for your support.

| Thankfully, he'll be ok once the "hard part" is over. Sorry he has to go through all that.

| So now I don't know what to think. There was a miscommunication and xrays did NOT reveal kidney stones. He never passed any but the pain has subsided. They treated him like it was kidney stones but told him to go to his doctor or come back to urgent care today or tomorrow for more tests.
