| What Province are you in? Quote:
Apparently, the states have to label the fur type. Canada no, so my question is - how do we find who sell dogs or cats fur, and how does one know which is which, dog or mink, wolf etc. How do you determine that? I have heard in Vancouver on Grandville Street that Fur Company does sell dog and cat items, no bones about it too. Will be checking that out for sure. Any fur place I’m walking in and investigate as to what the fur are and how to tell what is what.

| Slaughterhouse feeds people Slaughterhouse feeds people around the world, supposedly good quality meat; we in North American don’t eat DOGS OR CATS that we know of.. I know in other parts of the world they do eat every animal alive and think nothing of it.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | I've seen this video before and it is, WITHOUT QUESTION, the most horrific animal cruelty video I have ever seen to date. The images are seared into my brain. This practice is still happening in the world. I'm so thankful to PETA and the other agencies who send people in to capture these horrific acts. Without them, we would not have awareness to what truly happens in the animal cruelty arena. I can't imagine what the investigators who capture this footage must go through as they must stand by and do nothing, in order to obtain the proof so that action can be taken.

| Ive watched a couple of petas videos and everyone was worse than the last. When I watched this video yesterday I wanted to puke and I still cant eat it made me so sick. I read a while back that peta actually doesn't believe in owning animals such as dogs and cats, and apparently murdered dozens of dogs because of that belief. Is this true? It shocked the hell outa me. |

YT 1000 Club Member | Let me just add....while I'm sure that they have done some really great things, it's too bad they have a few bad eggs that just take certain things to the extreme such as killing a fly . I think there are way more important issues in the world. That's all I'm referring to.

| Ok get ready to crucify me but let me explain. First that video was the most cruel thing I have ever seen. Raising animals and then killing them alive is beyond horrible. I remember when we were young going to a families home to help them slaughter and dress pigs. When we got there the first pig was put into a drum of boiling water alive. My Father promptly told them how horrible they were after he had turned and lost his lunch, loaded us in the car and took us home. That being said I come from a long family of hunters and yes sorry to say in the past trappers (not me I can't even kill a mouse lol) But the men in the family hunted racoons and things for fur for years before peta stepped in. Some call it inhumane but if you live in our area and watch the sick and diseased raccoons and other animals dying from over population that is where the real cruelty lies to me. Also my father used to hunt Mountain Lions and Bears with bounty on their heads for attacking cattle and other livestock in Washington state. Then again peta stepped in and now they are coming right into towns and attacking children and adults. So on this issue I really have mixed feelings. Sorry if this offends anyone but where do we draw the line.

| I understand that people need to eat or may want to wear a fur coat. Thats your choice. I dont eat Beef,Pork or Chicken. I only eat fish for protein. I would never own a Fur anything. You can pull up on UTube, animal killing floors and you will be sick and disgusted the way these animal die every minute. But the point is we need these films to educate. My friend works for USDA and told me that the horses are the worst because some were pets. Im going to send her this Site. I hope our furriers do not practice this inhuman way. |
