I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure that that is a Black Widow Spider. Thank God she looked. Elaine

Actually, it really WASN'T a very big one at all...I just have a really good camera.

She's fine though...she didn't actually put the helmet on. What actually caught her attention was that there was a big beetle (that is what you see in the first pic) caught in the web. Then he gave it to hubby to have a look and he found the spider hiding by the blue foam. If you look REALLY carefully in the first pic, you can barely make her out hiding on the end of the middle piece of foam sticking out on the left side.

Wow, that is SCARY!!! I just got back from Costa Rica and saw a huge spider in the bathroom but I don't think it was poisonous. I also saw a snake that I don't believe was poisonous either. Last but not the least, on our last day there I saw this black little frog with some green color marking on it....and I was thinking 'how cute', but the bell boy said that the frog was poisonous. Go figure...
