| I am so glad that your daughter checked her helment. What a timely reminder that "tis the season" to check gloves, shoes, hats, and other items that are infrequently used or are left outside or in the garage. We have family of black widow spiders that have been living in a underground water spicket box for years and years. They are very shy spiders and generally go about their business of eating bugs. Unless they actually build their nests ON the water valve I leave them alone and when I take the cover of the box to fill water tanks they move away. Black Widows that take up residence close to the house don't fare as well. |

| Thank goodness, I guess!! A black widow in her bicycle helmet! That is scary. My mom had one in her mailbox one day. She said she usually just reached in and got her mail but somethign told her to look in and she too, was thankful she did. Glad your daughter avoided any harm.

| Yep. But rest assured, it was thoroughly squished, run over, set on fire and buried right after I took the pics. :P I posted up not long ago that we get them here all the time, especially under the our Basset's dog house. Well, this was definately a first for being inside the bike helmet! |
