| Yea they are real delicate you have to have special filtration just for them.

| Shana, I have a freshwater now, but some years ago (BD - Before Doggies - hehe) had a saltwater tank. Just couldn't afford to keep it up at the time!! My husband would have divorced me early in our marriage if he only knew how much money I spent to kill poor defenseless fish!! The pretty ones 'aint cheap! Meanwhile, I have all of these books about marine aquariums and fish. If you're interested, PM me and I would be glad to send them to you. They have been taking up space and collecting dust for a few years now, but I think the basic information should be good. Just some of the available equipment is probably better now...

Wow thats sounds hard. That really would be an awesome thing to have though. What kind of filtration do they need?

| The biggest mistake I made when I was first starting out in saltwaterfish is buying many beautiful fish of different types too quickly. Needless to say, the stress gave way and my tank got ich, and they all died. Now, what I do is start a new tank with hardier fish and let them for a couple of months before introducing any new ones(and I like to introduce two at a time). I add the new ones when I am doing a partial and the lights are off , and will keep the lights off till the next day. I have found this method seems to work for me. The biggest challenge I had was when I was moving from one city to another. I conserved much of the water of the existing tanks, but this was a big undertaking. Thankfully, I had some help because of the move itself I needed to hurry with the fish, which was about a two and a half hour ride. I only had one casualty and that was a turbo snail. Everyone else survived which was a miracle. Now, I need to get some for my fish only tank, and so I am looking at which would work with the two current inhabitants I now have.

| Shana, I took some pictures of my saltwater reef tank today. Some others, like my black crab, and cardinal (pajama fish) came out blurry. This is my first attempt in taking pictures of the fish with the digital, so I'll work on it a little more. I thought I'd share. Hope you enjoy!

| Shana, The last picture shows the white coral, which moves with the water flow, constantly expanding and closing according to the environment. It is so beautiful to watch the coral!
