Bless your heart, because this is the knowledge I wanted. So they are lying to me. Sometimes I can just "feel" when a person's lying to me and it drives me nuts.

By the way, even donating memembers can't edit their posts after 5 minutes.

Back to topic, anyone who shows up at my door uninvited asking me to give them money for anything is a solicitor, JMO. I actually think it's adorable when kids do it though. LOL I'm a total sucker, I always buy cookies, candy, wrapping paper, whatever they're selling, just because I think it's cool they're spending time doing it, instead of doing less constructive things. I have frozen cookie dough in my freezer right now that I'll never use. I knew that when I bought it, but that's all she was selling,sooo I got it.

The people who respect the sign I have no problems with , it's the ones who ignore it that I have the problem with. I don't care what religion you ( as in the person knocking on my door) are...I know you can read my sign so why not respect the fact that I don't want a conversation with you?

For the record my Grandfather was a preacher and he loved debating religion with any JW's ( or anyone else) that happened by , so I don't have a problem with anyone's religion , I just have a problem with people disrespecting my damn sign !

Anyone been "solicited" while at a red light?

When I was young and single I had an old car, not quite a "beater"...but close, and I was waiting at a red light -- a car full of well-dressed young men pulled up to me on my drivers side. I thought "woo hoo...!! my lucky day!"... NOPE, they knocked on my window & when I rolled it down they said "I see you have an old car, want to buy a new one? We can give you a GREAT DEAL.." and they handed me a business card .. they were CAR SALESMEN! aaack!!!!

Stupid people don't know they're stupid. A sign saying "No Smart People" would work better. Btw, you can waste my time, anytime.
