I agree Lou, when you don't take advice from those that no better, you are only hurting yourself.

Since it's a long time til Tuesday and we have been talking about 'Britian's got talent ' with Susan Boyle, I thought I would post my favorite contestant of ANY show but this is americas version 'America's Got Talent'

She's fantastic, but I can't believe Pierce told her to, "Change your hair, change your dress, and change your shoes, and you'll win this competition." She' s only 11 years old, like she really needs criticism about the way she looks, gosh sometimes I think we are all so nuts, to put so much emphasis on the visual. Reminds me of Karen Carpenter, who had a heavenly voice, and was just fine, until one reported remarked about her being chunky, that lead to a battle with anorexia, and as we all know, anorexia won. By the way, did she win the competition?

I know poor thing looks like she was going to cry for a moment. She looked adorable later with some help but I like you thought she was adorable then. It was from last year and didn't get to thinking about it until I thought she too was one where you cannot judge a book by it's cover. Who would think that voice would come out of an 11 yr. old.

Is it a prerequisite to be a female judge on any of the current talent/singing shows for the woman to stand up during the performances? LOL. I actually don't mind it since I really believe it's showing their support and helps the one performing feel a little more confident. But I did notice it in this clip of America's Got Talent as well as the Susan Boyle episode on Britain's Got Talent, and of course, every show of A.I.

Since we're on a roll, I would love to point this clip out that I noticed after watching the above clip on youtube.

AMAZING. This is a year after Connie Talbot's performance on Britain's Got Talent. I WILL HUNT DOWN her album! She was 6 at the time of the show, but now she's 7.

I've seen her before and with Josh, she is just darling. Think of what a voice she must have now if she could hold those low notes at 7 yrs old. She still has her baby voice there but would love to hear her older. She really has a future.

I agree with you. I think Lil Rounds does not know how to use her voice to convey emotions. She does not know different ways to use her voice like Adam. She might have always sung with the radio. A good voice teacher could solve this problem. I hope she takes Simon's suggestions and sing more R&b songs like "No More Drama". The ballads she sings are boring to me. She has a good voice, but her voice does not take me anywhere.

I think some of the contestants entered a contest, and some really thought they could be THE American Idol. Adam certainly has star quality, but some of them are just in it to see how far they can get.
It is interesting to see how they evolve through the process. This week they did a few changes in the looks (Danny without glasses) They don't seem to be showing all that much in terms of personality.
I think the bottom three will be the same bottom three next week.
