I Love My Lil' Punkin's Donating Member | An ODD request! Can I see pictures of you couch/living room? I know this is a weird request However, I will be getting lots of new furniture soon, some of which will be a new couch, overstuffed chair and ottoman - and I can't decide what "style" I want to go with I am almost SO tempted to just go with something very simple - not a printed couch or chair, that way I can add splashes of whatever color I want with printed or solid throw pillows, etc. I looked at one this past weekend and I did like it. It was almost exactly what I had in mind It was just a solid, neutral (tan/khaki) colored tweed couch....it would look good with just about any decor and I could paint my walls any color I wanted. I do like the idea of having a couch that isn't printed, that way I can get just about any area rug I wanted to and I wouldn't have to worry about the couch and rug clashing - as well as throw pillows, wall color, etc., etc. I LOVE shabby chic...however I can't decide if I want to go with this or something more simple, clean and traditional for my living room (I know my bedroom WILL be shabby chic ). Geez, I am SO confused. I just want to make sure that I LOVE whatever I end up going with cause I do tend to get tired of things quickly and if I end up hating it I will want to change everything again right away - and my hubby would kill me LOL. Anyway, enough BLABBING lol....I would love to see pictures of your couches/living rooms! Start posting away!!!

| I just took some pictures of my living room. It is in a very traditional style. I like it because it is elegant yet practical. I like that it is neutral so if we get bored we can just change the wall color and add some funky pillows and change up the look. Right Now we have no pillows because we threw them all away because they started looking old. A good reason to buy new ones

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I think most decorators will tell you that big-ticket items like a couch, should always be solid. While prints can look great on a chair, a couch takes up too much visual space, and the print can get very old looking very fast. Also, since many of us decorate for the seasons, neutrals can take on a whole new look with a change of accessories, so if you like a new look often, neutral solids are the way to go.

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I'm not home to share pictures....but last year I bought Pottery barn sofas. You can take off the slipcovers and WASH them. Perfect for puppy paw print issues. Plus I can "change" the color whenever I want just by purchasing new slipcovers. I love love love them and they are omg, comfy! EDT - The slipcovers wash GREAT.

And size matters! My bf bought me new couches a few years back and they are huge! It dwarfed all our other furniture! Last week we gor our new entertainment center and a few weeks ago I got rid of my old coffe table and got a big oversized leather outtaman. We are HOPEFULLY moving to our very first home this summer and I will get to deocrate my little herat out!

| I have a day bed which I love and hate at the same time. I love how it looks- it has bead board on the sides and I love how easily I change the look of it BUT it isn't very comfortable for sitting. It never has enough pillows and I can never get them to look right. I love my coffee table though. Maybe I'll have to take some pictures.
