| Since there are different models, which Bissell proheat do each of you prefer? Also, can you use your own carpet shampoo in it or do you have to use their products? Tammy |

| Has anyone tried the cheaper model? It was the red one I believe... can't remember the exact name. Hubby and I are also looking for one and that is more in our price range.

| Some carpet shampoos leave a residue that attracts dirt. I prefer to get my shampoo at a janitorial store. One way to test the shampoo is to pour a small amount onto a plate then let it dry completely. Once dry if it turns in small crystals it will not leave that residue and if it does crystalize then it will leave a sticky residue that attracts the dirt. Hope that makes sense.
