| Gas prices going up As if Katrina didn't do enough damage, now they're predicting that many people will be paying $3 or more a gallon for gas (if they aren't already.) Matt Lauer said that premium gas in Brooklyn was, I think, $3.79 this morning. Are you kidding me?! I'm filling up today before it goes up anymore. It seems like everything that happens raises gas prices these days. |

I filled up my hubby's truck last night and it had went up about 8 - 10 cents since Sunday. It was $2.59 at half a tank it was $35.00 to finish filling it up. It's horrible. I had also hear that Bush is thinking about going into the reserves if so I hope this helps.

| Not only gas for our cars will be sky high, but also gas for our homes is going to have a 30% increase. They say this is going to be the worst winter we've experienced regarding heating our homes. I'm praying for a warm winter, but living in ND I don't suppose that won't be likely! |

| Last night gas here was 2.659. This morning it was 2.899. I live just a few short miles from the Missouri state line and there's a gas station just across the state line, so I usually get gas there. Last night it was 2.499 on the Missouri side.

| Last night, my hubby and I stopped to get gas in my car--fearing prices will soar by ends week. It was 2.69 /gallon. Ray was going to go back out last night to fill up his car, but decided to wait. Went this morning, same station, same octane--it was 2.89. And its supposed to go up again. Yes- this winter- out heating bills are projuscted to go up at least 25%. This is unreal. We are not going to be able to do anything. All our extra money will be going towards paying higher heating bills!!!!!!! Insane!

| Patrick took my car to fill it up early last evening and the station was packed with lines waiting to pay 3.09!! He went to another station and it was cheaper so he got in line ... before he got to the pump they shut the pumps down and turned off the lights ... they were raising their prices!! He went to yet another station and had to pay 3.09!! And that was for 89 octane! You cannot buy 93 octane here and that's what we are accustomed to using in the South. I don't understand why natural gas prices should go up ... nothing has slowed down these wells' production here in Colorado and they are drilling new ones all the time!!

| Yesterday, the price for Premium (91 octane) in Beverly Hills was an astounding $3.51! Hurricane Katrina destroyed a number of the refineries that are located in the south east part of the US. So while Bush may decide to tap into our nation's emergency reserves for oil...that will do us no real good. Our true problem is the lack of production facilities, not the amount of oil available. One wall street analyst said that instead of stocking up on oil, we should've stocked up on gasoline. |
