I found a copy of the receipt.(I demanded it when they came to me for payment) It states 200 books were ordered at $6.70 per book, however the total amount that was due was $2001.00. I don't understand how it could be so much more unless she ordered more than the contract stated bc it clearly says $6.70 per book. I know I paid $21 per book. She did not get that much for each book in the beginning but did up the price. Even at $21 per book it would have amounted to $4200 less the 2,000 cost and all the costs she claimed. So I dont know that we will ever know exactly how much money she took in, but for sure there was money left that was to go to YT.

I know Missys involvement in this has been a mess but the cookbook is very good book. If there was a 2nd run of it I think there would be a demand because I have seen many people asking about it. I would order some as gifts it is such a good book.

You are so very right. The cookbooks are just wonderful, and I have been asked by several friends (I have it proudly displayed on my cookbook holder that sits on my countertop) where I got it and how can they get one. That is one of the reasons I tried to get the remaining books from Missy, bc I knew I could sell them easily here and to friends. I think if YT Admin got enough interest for a 2nd run there would be plenty of us willing to purchase.:animal36

Hey guys she only lives about 1 1/2 - 2 hrs away from me. I think I'll leave her a facebook message and ask it I can come pick up the rest of the books. Then I'll send them to whoever wants them. It's crazy that she ask soooo much for them. I really wanted to say more about things when this all first came out, but I didnt want everyone mad at me for not being so nice about it. This is so uncalled for. I kinda got into it with her on facebook over messages when I told her she needs to come back on yt and give everyone that was trying to help her some kinds of info. She informed me that she'd never be back on YT cause she has tried to help YT out and donated sooo much money to everyone, bah bah bah bah bah..etc. I made me really mad, so I just left it alone. Figured I wasn't going to get through to her so why bother. I'm gonna go leave a message for her right now about the cookbooks.

Ok left her a message that said YT would like the cookbooks because people are still wanting them. Can I come get them? So we'll see what she says back if she does say anything back.

Denise I hope you can get them too! I tried to no avail. I just cannot believe the way she is behaving. Like YT owes her, when she is knowingly keeping money that does not belong to her. I pray she does the right thing too! Good luck and let us know what happens:)

Way to go, Denise. This is one reason I love YT so very much. Members see that something needs to be done and go to work.

Sandy, you have put so much of your time and effort into this cookbook issue, and I want to thank you. I know it really shook you up when you got a phone call from the Morris past dew collections department. Gee whiz, it would have thrown me for a loop too. You have keep YT informed of what was going on without slinging mud at Missy -- uuummmmm even when some mud slinging might have been understood.

Hey Denise,
I didn't order a cookbook, but let me know if you need some "back up muscle" haha to go with you if she lets you come get them.
My only reservation is she wouldnt be home when we come.

I am very very disappointed in her. I know when she got Lilly from me, people had donated money for her. One very generous lady donated the full deposit amount of $300. I was floored!! Now she pulls this stunt. I did see on Facebook that she was shopping on Ebay for a Coach purse.
How can someone do that to so many people who beleived in her?

Thanks Cindy~ it has been nerve wracking, but those books belong in the hands of the yorkietalkers here. Not to sell randomly for any price. These were the hard works of "All YTalkers" not just Missy. I just wish I could have gotten my hands on them way back in July when she had 2 cases of books left.

She really has some big ones to sell them on EBAY. They don't belong to her. I am always amazed at how grimey some folks can be.

I really am sorry that so much was put into this book and she seems to have reaped the rewards.

Quite frankly the folks that were scammed by her on their vests/dresses should initiate a claim with paypal. I think people shouldn't feel sorry for her anymore seeing as her true colors have shined clearly through. She is a SCAMMER...just like the dirt bags that prey on people trying to find a pup. She took advantage of the big hearts full of compassion and friendship of the good people on here. I do not wish her ill but what goes around comes around and when your grimey like that ...especially to people that have been there for you...the blow up will be something to see. Not sure how she can sleep at night.

We recently contacted Paypal (for something else, not the cookbooks) and they contacted the seller, which contacted us right away ,and sent the merchandise we had purchased, so maybe contacting them, would be another way. She can always open a new account, but just don't let things slide, I even think Paypal has insurance for situations like this.

I'd disagree on who owned the books. YT graciously allowed her to use the name and the site...but the owner of the books was Missy. I remember threads last summer where she was stuck with a lot of left over books too.

I really think the postage did her in. The minimum for priority mail...which she used for awhile...is 4.85 and it goes up depending on the zone. Case in point...at Christmas I shipped a lazydaisy sculptured yorkie, 2 hair bows, and a small package of chocolate treats...cost to ship from Va to Ca... 11.85.

This thread has gone beyond informative...it sounds like a witch hunt. JMHO.

Even if YT didn't have a written contract she was under a verbal agreement to sell X amount of books and profits were to go to YT. Even with the lack of written contract all the emails and post that include Missy's own written words show the original intent and the outcome. She should be charged with Malicious intent , theft ( Grand theft if the amount turns out to be high enough) , and the selling of stolen property.

I am relatively new to YT and was not touched by Missy's dishonesty , but I hate the thought that all the nice people here that have been so helpful to me were taken advantage of by such a dishonest person.
