YT Cookbooks???
 

I know it's a stupid question, but, are there any YT Cookbooks anywhere?? I tried the search feature and can't even find the old thread. I need 7 more. Thanks!

bumping this up for you. I know someone else was asking about them a few weeks ago. Wow, 7! That may be hard to come by. I gave all mine out as gifts - well except 1 for me!

Wonder if they could do a second run on the books?

Missy said in her last post that she was giving some to Sandy. (Sandsara I think or something like that is her usser name. ) Shes the one that did the graphics for the book

Hi Folks~

For those of you who do not know me, my name is Sandy, and my user name is sandshara.

I was responsible for all the artwork done in the cookbooks and spent several months working on this project with Missy, (at no charge), so the proceeds of the cookbooks would go to yorkietalk (a wonderful website) and so all of you yorkietalkers would have a nice cookbook. I love this website and all those that I have come to know. I have kept silent bc I did not want to say anything negative.

Unfortunately, the unforseen has happened and I have tried very hard to get this straightened out. To date I do not know if Missy will ever send the remaining money into Admin or do I know if she will ever send me the cookbooks. She is currently working and is actively on facebook. I wish I could be more help, but I have done all that I can. I have sent her one last email & that is to request her to send the remaining cookbooks to Yorkietalk.

Please do not let this unfortunate incident be a reflection upon the many fine vendors here, the Yorkietalk website or myself. I wish Missy all the best and will keep her in my prayers.

That's a shame. I would love to buy one. I love cookbooks and recipies that are easy and everyday people can make them. Just getting tired of making the same old stuff for my family. Wow, that's too bad.

Yes it is. I am so sorry, I tried. It's time to take my hand out of the fire. I have been burned enough. If by some miracle I do recieve them I will let you all know.

I also, tried to help put together the cookbook the first time, and I'm not sure who I was working with, but things just didn't get finished the way they were suppose to, and I found the site hard to navigate. Maybe someday we'll get it together.

I'm sorry to read this. I thought Missy did an awsome job on the
book as well as you and those great graphics. I hope this get's
resolved. I was under the impression she was having some difficulty and
some of us YT member's offered to help in anyway we could to get
the balance of the order's out to those who were waiting.
If she is not responding to you perhaps she dosen't want our help
afterall:confused:

Missy just replied to me-apparently she is dealing with the woman who wanted the 7 books herself.

I told her I would prefer she send the remaining books to Admin. She promised me she would make things right and send me the remaining books 2 weeks ago. I am done. It is such a shame bc they are nice little cookbooks. This whole thing is sad.:( It hurts my heart.

I would really like a cookbook also. :) Please if anyone knows how I can get one, PM me. :D

I am so sorry to hear you say you are done. We really can't have everyone walk away from this. Do you know if there is any possibility of having another printing of these cookbooks? With someone else handling this - so that money could be raised for YT since that was the original reason for doing the books.

You are sorry that I am done, but dont understand all that has happened. When the cookbook company is trying to come after you bc the responsible person never paid the bill of $2,000 after a year of the books being dispersed and paid for by you folks, I think you might understand where i am coming from. As far as another printing of the books, I seriously doubt if Morris cookbooks will take another order from us unless somebody has around $3,000cash upfront, bc the last bill never got paid until they came after me(I worked with the art department to help get it published and they had my name). Yes it was finally paid but after much aggravation and stress. This project was from my heart as well and I did all I could to help make it happen. So you see I have not just walked away. (that kinda hurt) You need to look to Missy. I volunteered my time and talent for the good of the website, certainly not to be held liable for anything. I was trying to help.

Sandy, I am so sorry I did not mean for my words to hurt you. I had absolutely no idea the bill had been in dispute with the cookbook company. I am shocked and saddened to hear this. I hope it was Missy who paid this bill and not you, who also took a financial blow. Has this been posted or discussed elsewhere on YT?? If it had, I must have totally missed it. It is shocking. I really didn't think Missy would do something like this. Your art work for the cookbook is amazing. I appreciate your hard work, and I am sure everyone else who bought the books does too. I bought several cookbooks for friends and family and everyone was thrilled to receive one of these beautiful books. May your good work and deeds to straighten this out be richly blessed.

That's okay, I knew you did not know what happened and I was trying not to say anything negative about anyone. When you said I walked away it struck a nerve and I felt I had to defend myself or I still would not have said anything. This has not been discussed elsewhere and that is why you did not know. Admin is aware of what happened and the bill was finally paid. I was trying really hard to work with Missy to get the remaining books back, but she has another agenda going on and is too busy tanning and working out. That is all I can say, and I feel bad enough just saying that little bit. You have no idea how hard it has been to sit back and keep quiet. Thank you for your blessings they are gratefully taken.

BTW today is my little Bebes 3rd birthday and that is what this website is all about, our furbabies, so we are getting ready to go to petsmart for his special day. I am keeping the faith in knowing that there are so many more good hearted people in the world then selfish people and this site is proof of that!

you did. I am shocked to hear this about Missy. Totally shocked!
I am glad things are now worked out and the company is not
harrassing you any longer. I thank you for your time and talent
in putting the cookbook together. I love it and here I thought
order's weren't being met due to lack of funds for postage!:(
I am so naive! I have to laugh now when I think I offered $25.00
to help Missy with the postage. No wonder I never heard back
from her!

Sandshara, I am so sorry this has happened to you, the artwork on the book was really sensational, and the book is a piece of art as far as I'm concerned. You did such a wonderful job on it, I'm so sorry that it didn't turn out the way you expected. This is a really disappointing development in this story, many of us knew nothing of this. You are one talented lady, and I appreciate the time you gave to this project. I'm so sorry you are hurting.

Thank you for letting us know a bit more about what was going on. And for forgiving me for my words. Was it Missy that paid the bill? I pray that money did not come from YT! :( My heart breaks to think that Missy would use what was to benefit YT for her own good - regardless of how she is using - broken down car or suntanning. -- I know people can have good intentions, but when put in the position of having money flood in, they see an opportunity and unfortunately take it.

Happy Birthday to Bebe!! I hope you and your furbabies enjoy a day of celebration! And yes, you are right- these sweet babies are why YT brings us all together! :)

Don't worry-yes Missy did pay the bill. I left messages everywhere for her to call me, I also contacted admin. All I know is the delinquent accounts woman from Morris was calling my house, sending me bills in the mail, and telling me that if the bill was not paid they were coming after me. I told them I only did the artwork and they said I had been listed on the contract!!!! But they did not have my signature and I was ready to go to court to fight them. Then out of the blue, the bill got paid. Then the woman from morris sent me an email that Missy had paid the bill. I finally did get to talk to Missy. She never said she was sorry for putting me in that situation, just that she had no money and you know the rest. I reassured her people would understand. I suggested to her to post here, and explain herself and she did but she never said she would make things right by the people she had wronged.(that is the Im sorry post she left). I really really thought Missy would make things right. She promised to send the remaining books to me and said she would contact the people she stiffed. Well the cookbooks never came, nor did she send the money to Admin that I know of. (She told me there was money left) she is on facebook and I see her posts, that is how I know she can tan and exercise but she cant take the time to mail the cookbooks or at least let me know what she was doing. I was so upset, and then I started getting emails about if I knew how to get more cookbooks and here I am. I would not send her any money for books until she has rectified to all she has harmed. I just feel so bad that Yorkietalk did not get the money that was suppose to go to them. So thank you all for your sweet comments and I am off to celebrate with my little furbaby. :eek: I have no idea what's going on with the cookbooks [or this thread for that matter] .... I bought 7 cookbooks and needed 7 more! I suppose I should never have started this thread ... my profound apologies for causing unpleasantness to be brought up again. Perhaps Admin will close this thread?

Well, I'm glad the thread was started and that some of the truth came out. As alarming & disheartening as this news was, it was a good reminder of what can happen online. I hope you get your additional books

I agree 100% that the information should be out there. People were taken in by her...god knows how much money she took that should be refunded.

I would like to wish your baby a happy birthday and give you a big old hug for holding your tongue this long. I would have put it out there a ways back that way folks would not send her a dime.

one thing that really bothered me from the beginning was Missy was complaining about the cost to mail the cookbooks. I suggested that all the books should be mailed at Book Rate - unless someone wanted to pay the difference (since book rate may mean the pkg takes a few days more)

But Missy wouldn't budge - she said the price had already been set :thumbdown

Bookrate is so cheap to use...it would have cost maybe $2 to mail the books.

I am very happy to have my cookbook and enjoy it and the artwork, thank you, Sandy. It was a great thought and I guess I am lucky to have gotten mine. As for the wrong doing-karma's gonna get ya!

You guys are what makes this site such a great place to visit. Thank you all for your sweet comments and I am so happy that you love your cookbooks. I can't take all the credit, bc there were others that worked very hard on this project too, including Missy, its just such a shame the money did not go where it was suppose to. She did me dirty too on some artwork too Kay so I know how you and others feel. I just don't get people that would do something like this, I guess that is why it upset me so much. I am really sorry that you didnt get your little vest, but I know Cindy and others helped make up for that - and that is what makes this site so spectacular.
