My husband and I make a little over that together in a year and have a hard enough supporting US let alone 14 kids.

No father, sperm donated by a friend. She used IVF on the first 6 as well as these 8. She didn't have any naturally. This is all info I've been hearing on Dr. Phil.

When I saw a bit of Dr. Phil a woman from social services mentioned something I did not know. She said that social services should keep a good eye on the situation for abuse but to take even 8 of these children in would cost the taxpayer many times more than helping them in many of the ways mentioned ( paying for everything in mother's care) When they get the mother evaluated things might change and I hope that if these children are not taken care of children's services does their job, no matter what cost to us tax payers.

Someone correct me if I am wrong, aren't you eligible for SSI if your baby weighed under a certain amount at birth, something like 3 or 4 pounds?

No I don't think so. That low birth weight shouldn't qualify her for SSI for those babies.

It stated that NBC is considering offering her, her own reality show!

I'm not sure exactly but my friend with the premie twins was advised by the hospital advocate to sign her 2 up for ss benefits. They were just over 2 lbs each at birth. They are eligable for a lot of different benefits.

That is disgusting! There is such outrage over what she has done and they are gonna give her a tv show!!! It just rewards people for not doing the right thing

Looks like it is time to email NBC and threaten to boycott them. If they want ratings... maybe if enough people wrote them they would reconsider
