Oh goodness the sleeping bag LOL. That fabric (the Strawberry Shortcake & red fleece) cost me like $40 :eek: at Joanns, I haven't been back since. I think I either got a yard and a half or 2 yards of both., I'm pretty sure it was 2 yards and I was able to make that sleeping bag and had enough for the small Strawberry Shortcake blanket I posted and enough to make 1 more blanket. I wish I could remember the exact amount it took. I'd say around 1 yard and a half should be plenty, it really just depends on how big you want it to be. Good luck if you decide to make one!!!!

Most of the fabrics with Strawberry Shortcake on them are just ahhhh so cute, you should see the flannel I bought today to make a bed with, OMGOSH, I have been eyeing it for soooo long now and I finally bought it. It will be SO cute. :eek::p

You ladies are doing such great jobs on these, good grief, they're sooo cute! I LOVE the trains... very fitting for a little baby boy furball! :p

I went and got fabric today but didn't get much for blankets as I don't really need anymore. I got some zebra :eek: to make myself a big blanket and I'll probably make a few small ones out of it too. I got lottssss of solid fleece for a really great price 2.99 a yard for my beds I make!!! It was on sale for 50% off at Hancock's & I loveee that fabric store!! :cool:

Brooke - I want to see all of your blankets!!! I'm sure they're all super cute so post post post!!!! :rolleyes:

Yea, it was..And I am waiting on some fabric to make more. I really enjoyed making them and you should have seen my dog and cat fighting over the material as I was laying it out. It was a pretty funny sight to see. For some reason I just think the animals love the material. :p

Well there are just too many blankets in this house!! :eek: I took pictures but there is no way that I am going to post them all here LOL. There are just so many, heaven help me :blush: Instead I Photobucket'd them and made a slideshow lol :p

The one of Tatum sitting on the blanket (it's the Monkey print - suits her perfectly :rolleyes: lol) I forgot to take a picture of so I just used that one. It is a pic of Tator when she was younger, but it still shows the blanket :p Now I didn't make ALL of these myself...but most of them I did :)

The green and orange blanket with the suns and surf boards is the one I made Steddy last night, I just love that fleece - it's so cute and bright :D Stud loves it too - in fact I had to pry him off of it just to get a pic lol :cool:

I know! :eek: Ok, you have to post a pic of this new flannel girl - I must see it :p I have some Strawberry Shortcake flannel too that I've had for probably over 2 years now - I didn't know what I was going to do with it, but I bought it anyway LOL. :rolleyes: It is so cute! It has stripes and fruit on it too...geez, I so love it! :D

You better post pics when you have that bed made - that is going to be ADORABLE!

I just posted a link above to a Photobucket slideshow that I made of the blankets...OMG there are tons of pics! :eek: Yes I already know I'm nuts you don't have to tell me :laugh: LOL.

Some of those blankets are so old though and I don't even like them anymore :rolleyes: Like the one with the jungle animals...I hate that thing LOL...yuck!! And I'm not too crazy about the fairy one either - it's ok...but I like some of the others more :p The print on that one is cute but the dark purple backing isn't really my color...that's really all they had at the time that would go though...but it too is an older blanket. And there's one with swirls and flowers that is an older one too. Oh heck - I just have WAY too many blankets lol. And the bad thing is...I still have MORE to make!! :eek:

Yea, I want to see what you bought today too...hehe.. Okay I love strawberry shortcake and they didn't have any when I went to the store the other day :( I am going to have to get some of this for sure.

Wow, you have made so many gorgeous blankets, really great fabric choices, but it looks like someone needs to go to no sew blanket rehab! :eek:

You know, they really do LOVE the material. My babies are the exact same way. I usually have to take the fleece in the other room when I am making a blanket because if not, they will either walk all over it, roll around on it as it's laid out or park themselves right in the middle of it and I can't do anything :rolleyes: Little stinkers!
