Haha, I forgot about that! I got that sweater kind of as a joke and I've only wear it two Disney World twice and I've gotten more compliments on that sweater than on any other possession I own! Disney soccer moms love it.

Don't feel bad! You know, when a gaggle of women convene, we are going to talk about EVERYTHING! Most topics aren't off limits here, we just ask that everyone be curtious and think about both sides of the coin.

I agree that I'd rather hear about them than the hollywood crowd. And I DON'T agree that you HAVE to care just because he is our newest president. One of the freedoms of this democracy is not being forced to care about politics. I PERSONALLY care because I am educated in government and believe that I DO have political efficacy, but I also believe in people's rights not to care.

I think that having two younger girls in the White House will increase interest in government in our youth. If I were ten I'd be interested in them.

Nobody ever HAS to care what the president is doing (new or otherwise) but I guess I can't imagine NOT caring since it effects everyone- not just the people who pay attention. Certainly people have the right not to care though- I just personally can't imagine feeling that way. Everyone gets a vote- educated or not.

I tried to give Obama the benefit of the doubt, as I knew he was going to be the new President. But, when we're trillions of dollars in debt already, and then he adds to that to boost the economy, witha whopping $500 apiece in the middle class families and puts us further in debt to boost the economy, he's just adding more deficit. Not a good thing for the President.
As far as the little girls, yeah, they're kind of cute, but, so were Kennedys kids when they were little

You guys are getting way off the topic. I was just saying, that the media is so riduculous about covering the girls. Even down to the key chain that is hanging on her backpack. They had to zoom in on it. Although they are going to lead a very exciting life these next few years, I wish the media just wouldn't over do it with stupid little things.

Yes, they were very cute. I am glad to be rid of the Bush girls, lol. I think it will be interesting to watch these girls grow up in the limelight. Both of their parents went to Ivy League colleges, so I am sure they are bright girls. Should be neat to see how they grow up. I think their mother is a very good role model for them, just speaking in terms of family and class.

I think lots of females need good role models in the media. Better them than the hollywood crew, as I said before.
