I agree that I'd rather hear about them than the hollywood crowd. And I DON'T agree that you HAVE to care just because he is our newest president. One of the freedoms of this democracy is not being forced to care about politics. I PERSONALLY care because I am educated in government and believe that I DO have political efficacy, but I also believe in people's rights not to care.
I think that having two younger girls in the White House will increase interest in government in our youth. If I were ten I'd be interested in them. | Nobody ever HAS to care what the president is doing (new or otherwise) but I guess I can't imagine NOT caring since it effects everyone- not just the people who pay attention. Certainly people have the right not to care though- I just personally can't imagine feeling that way. Everyone gets a vote- educated or not.
