The Bachelor - Jason, cutie & single dad Ok, who is watching this season?? I loved Jason last season - couldn't figure out what possessed DeAnna to choose Jesse over Jason. But I'll watch with mixed emotions since his son will be involved. I'm curious to see how they handle this. But so far it is interesting to see the single moms also on here. Did anyone happen to see the really long preview of The Bachelor that they showed on Saturday during a break from the movie "Sleepless in Seattle"? - In case you missed it, the big thing was that apparently DeAnna shows up on the show to tell Jason she made a mistake :eek: - freaks all the girls out! It will be interesting to see if she stays around at all this season. At the beginning of tonight - Chris said Jason meets his wife.....hmm...... |
I'm watching. Jason is such a cutie...I'm surprised there was only 1 girl who asked how his son was doing. I thought more would acknowledge him. I think she'll def get a rose. That's going to be exciting seeing DeAnna....can't wait to see what happens. |
Now, they are going to have the girls vote out someone tonight - they are really trying to turn this into a CAT fight. I hate that side of the show when they have a bachelor. Why do the producers always try to make out women as being catty? They do not play these games when they have 25 men & a bachelorette. |

I watched some of last season and I could tell DeAnna wouldn't choose Jason. She still wanted fun no matter what she said, her face read "here for fun." He seemed to timid for her. She should have just run off with Mr. Sports guy that gave her that letter and been done with it.:rolleyes: If I was Jason ,I wouldn't let her back in the ring again... I hope he finds someone , but all these relationships seem to end badly , so I hope he is thinking ahead. I didn't watch tonight ( i forgot it was on:rolleyes:) I Hate the idea of making the women appear even more catty by having them pick someone to cast off. There is going to be plenty of drama in that house even without that ! |

I was so excited for this season to start cause I loved Jason so much for the last season. He is just a cutie. I can't wait to see how things turn out. I did she where she comes back too. Surely he won't make that mistake twice, but did you seeing him bawling his eyes out. Too sad. I think he'll reject her, even though a part of him is still in love with her. I think he knows, she's not right. Serves her right. lol I like lauren and the girl in the pink who made the top 15(can't remember her names). I also like the girl he gave the first date rose too. She seems sweet and knows what she wants. |
I'm not sxure if this lady is the "right" one, but her story broke my heart. I think she had pink on.....the one whose husband had died and she had the little girl.....I'll guess we have to wait and see. |

Loving this new season!!! I'm not sure if i like any of the girls yet...hard too tell from the first show. Deanna returns shell be interesting....don't think he will give her another chance. Guess will have to wait and see :confused: |
I have been overly obsessed with the show every season and was so skeptical about Jason being the bachelor because I like him so much! And I didnt want to see the show exploit his son. But Im actually glad they announced he is engaged and finds his woman. It eased my mind that both he and is son wont be hurt again!! Just please dont let it be DeAnna!! EWWWWW!! After what she did to Jason, then the way she dumped Jesse recently to "live the Hollywood life" I would like to see her get rejected like she deserves!! Ok, my initial instinct was also Jillian the hot dog girl and the first impression rose girl too!! After only one show, I liked what I saw in them! I did love the widowers story, but dont see the spark for she and Jason. I am happy they show her though because she can be very encouraging for other widowers or scared single mothers out there! Here we go....and the obsession begins again!!! :D |
and another thing!!! I remember last season, when we all chatted on here about the show, that there were some spoilers, so here is my thought!!! If you havnt seen the show for that week, I wouldnt open this thread then until you have seen it, then no one can ruin it for you and there wont be upset feelings on here!! Just my thoughts! ;) |

I love the Bachelor and I am happy that Jason is being given this opportunity. He deserves it. I really like Jillian too. Haven't really seen enough of the rest of the ladies to say if I like them or not. Stephanie the widower seems like a great lady too. I'm looking forward to seeing her in a less formal attire. She seemed almost too classy for Jason. I think he wants someone who is down to earth. Enjoy tomorrows show!!!!! |
I casually watch this show and caught a little tonight. Does anyone find it a little odd that there is a woman on the show who will be missing her daughter's birthday? Is being on a reality show really more important than missing a big moment in your child's life? Just a thought... |
Yes, I thought this was strange to miss your child's birthday. But also, I think Stephanie is looking at the bigger picture - she is a widow, who does want her daughter to grow up and experience future birthdays surrounded by a loving father & family. If you saw her interview last week, she really believes that she has a lot in common with Jason (I love them both, actually she's my favorite - but not sure I see them together as a couple) But also when they showed the preview for next week's show - Stephanie & Jason have a one on one date & she is surprised by her daughter - and it is on the day of her birthday. So, I believe the producers recognized the importance of that - plus they know it makes good TV when you are trying to marry off a single dad to see how he would mesh with another family. I missed the first hour of the show Monday - anyone want to fill me in on what happened I'm assuming with the 1st grp date? |

Anyone surprised by the one girl spending the night with Jason & then no one comments about her behavior?? Where were the catty comments from the other women? They showed Shannon making a face -- but goodness didn't it raise a few more eyebrows than that? Or do you think all the girls had wished it had been them, so they kept their mouths shut. Also, I was surprised that known of the girls called Jason out on it?? |
I thought the same thing! Thanks to tivo, I rewinded to that part again and I think that part was edited and chopped together! I think the girls did ask and they didn't show her reply cuz I think nothing happened but the show wants to truck is into thinking something did! I'm not convinced they did anything more than kiss and the girls must have known that! Otherwise I think Melissa would have jumped all over calling Jason out!! I also think he let an extra person go this week so now there is room for DeAnna's return! Ew! Yuck! Go away! ;) I am loving his choices though! I predict Jillian wins him and poor Melissa is the heartbroken one and we will all want her to be the next bachelorette!! Wow! I need to get a life outside this show!! |
Well, I don't think anything really happened in that tent either. And you are right that part was a bit choppy. Wow, I really don't see him long term with any of these girls. I love Jason - and none of these girls have yet proven to me that they are a good fit for him. (he seemed to fit so well with DeAnna - until she turned so fame-crazy) My favorite girl is Stephanie - but I don't see them together. My belief is that the next Bachelorette will be Stephanie -- this will give the single parent angle again, but it would also be their 1st widow -- how the show would like to play up matchmaking for a widow :rolleyes: Plus she is beautiful and more elegant than any woman they have ever had for a Bachelorette. I think the 1st season they did a Bachelorette it wasn't a woman that was in the final 2. I know we get a Bachelorette sometime soon though because a couple weeks ago the show said they were looking for single men for their Bachelorette. |
