Hi Missy, first I want to say how sorry I am that you are going through all that you are. Seems so many these days are having trying times, especially now with the economy the way it is. Prayers that things will get better for you and your family.

Missy, I sent you a pm but haven't heard back from you, and maybe with you not having the internet at home you might not have gotten it. I did mention in my pm that I had and idea, which I will explain as follows:

I don't know who paid you what for any orders, but I would like to say that if someone out there placed an order and it wasn't filled, that if it is for one dress, I would like to make a dress to fill one order for someone. I would be happy to do that for the first person that pm's me to let me know. I do have material so it would have to come from what I have available. I haven't been sewing these days but would do my best. I don't have the d rings so it would have to be without it.

Missy please know that what I am about to say is meant kindly, I can fully understand upon placing an order for sewing, in my opinion any item or items should be paid for at the time of order. However, being good business practice it seems that payments recieved should be set aside till the items is delivered. I am good friends with many here at yorkie talk and else where that do sewing and it is only customary to pay at the time of ordering, this is good business practice an understandable policy.

I sincerely hope that things improve for you.
Also I think with the economy and the way so many are on a tight budget these days it might be a bit better in the sence that it will have more people stop and think what Christmas truely is all about, which doesn't put emphasis on the giving and receiving of material things but what the most wonderful gift of all to each of us is God giving HIS Son Jesus for us all.

I'm sorry to hear you are going through tough times. It seems each day, I hear of someone who has lost their job and don't know what to do to survive.
I hope and pray things get better for you and yours.

I do have to say, I just can't understand you not fulfilling orders that you have received payment for. People that order from you do so with the understanding and trust that they will receive their items, and if not, then expect a refund. If your sewing machine is broken, couldn't you ask that seamstress friend to use hers...even if you had to go to her home to use it? There's got to be a way. Sorry if I come across as cold hearted, but I do feel sorry for those that have ordered and paid and not received their products. Some of those people that have ordered may be experiencing tough financial times themselves.

Missy, my heart goes out to you. I know there are many many people in your situation sadly. We ALL have gone through tough times, financially, emotionally, mentally, and physically in our lives. When that happens you need to turn to your 'circle', people who make you feel good to help you gain strength mentally and emotionally so you can pull through the tough times. I am rarely on YT and I just happen to come here tonight and I hit NEW POSTS and this was the first thread I saw I MISS IT HERE I JUST CANT FIND THE TIME with everything I have going all the time ... I have read the thread all the way to the end.. You have been a huge asset to YT and you have many friends here that understand what you are going through.


Now with all that said hold your head high and put your best foot forward Take one day at a time. Do not try to go ahead of yourself not even by one day. Try to do one day at a time ...

Missy, I am very sorry to hear all the bad times that have fallen on you. I wish you and your family well and hope that things will pick up for you soon. With that being said, I feel like I also need to share this with you too: with the economy the way it is, most everyone is having to scrimp and save and I think it is very unfair to the ones who have paid, not to receive their goods or a refund. That person may have been ordering one for a Christmas present. They may have fallen on hard times too after paying for one.

If it were me, I think I would do whatever it takes to make it right with those people. Whether it be working extra, using a friends machine, my husband and I not buying each other Christmas presents, whatever it would take to make it right, that is what I would do. If you paid for something and never received it, because the money was spent elsewhere....well....that simply is not right. Even if it takes you a year to get it all paid back, I think that would be what I would do.
I also think its really cool of Patti to offer to make a dress for free.

I didn't get a pm from anyone that didn't receive their items, so I did some researching and came across someone that didn't get their item, it is for a darling Little Fella. Jaxon, I hope you and your Mommie Kay will like what I make for you.

Missy, hope things get better for you. I find myself many times saying, "Thank God for what I have and what I don't, it could be worse."
One thing for sure, having good health, family and friends is the best of all.
Everything else is just that, everything else." The older I get the more I realize this. I wish so many times I knew this in my younger years, at times it would have made life so much easier. In saying what I just did is implying to myself, but it is a life's lesson that I can now admit to in my old age.
