I had a pair of Heelys when I was younger. I'm so amazed by their sudden return - they were HUGE like 6 years ago, and they quickly got banned from basically everywhere (in school we had to take them out of our shoes before we were allowed to go inside). and all of the sudden they're back! Those things are ridiculous,

| Most stores around here have signs posted saying wheelie shoes are not allowed but yet, you still see kids rolling around on them.

I can't tell you how many times I've seen kids fall with those things, it's ridiculous.

Yes it's the same thing, I have to throw in the odd English word every now and again for people like Megan.

| LOL. Nice accent. Did you try to say it in your head too or outloud?

| LOL Everyone makes me laugh on here and then I end up distracted like I am now! I love English words and trying to figure out what they mean. I think my favorite is biscuits (cuz it's not the same as biscuits in the USA), crisps, and nappies! Nappies are my all time fav. I'm just so used to hearing diapers! Which I think I like nappies better.

| I just don't get it myself. I never had a problem teaching my child to stay with her so she 'gets' the concept, but still as a parent, not relying on her sense of 'what she should do', realizing that she's a child and keeping up with her and making sure she was with me at the same time. But hey, whatever floats your boat. Farbeit from me to try to tell someone else what to do and not to do with their kid(s). |

| I never used a leash on any of my four kids - I think it looks ridiculous and would much rather strap them in the stroller until they are old enough to behave.

| One of those leash/harness things saved my life as a toddler. My Mom was traveling alone with me in Chicago. Someone shoved us from behind and I fell over the edge and would have fried on the third rail or been crushed by the oncoming train, if it weren't for the leash on me. My Mom hauled me up and out of the hole just in time So every time I see a kid on one of those things, I remember what could have happened to me, and do NOT see it as laziness on the parents' part. Just extra safety

| I used one of these harnesses on my son when he was 28 months. We were in south carolina on vacation and my daughter was 2 days old. (yes I was crazy) and I kept one on him while we walked the market. He wanted to be big and I wasnt in the condition to run after him if anything happened. I was lucky and nothing bad happened but I will always remember the piece of mind it gave me knowing he was just a little safer with it. |
