| Graduation Questions? My daughter is having to prepare her things for graduation. I have been making her things, and think I am doing a pretty good job. The thing is I am kinda confused about the announcement and stuff, does that also count as the persons invite, or do I need to make a second one? So far I have the graduation announcement saying when and where the commencement exercises are, and inside will be her name cards. Then I have the thank you cards, and the invitation to the open house, do i need anything else or do i have everything- i figured the people on there who have had grads could help me out! Thanks in advance!!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My dtr is graduating in December from the Univ of Wisconsin and we are only allowed 6 tickets to the ceremony, so it will be my husband, me, my son, DIL and my sister and my dtr's best friend. Then we are having a party afterwards at a resturaunt. We just got her picture's done in her cap and gown at teh school and picked her's up with the tassle. I bought invitations to the party today. This is our first college grad so I am curious to see the responses. Congrats on your dtr's graduation!

My little Shadow Donating YT Member | It sounds like you have everything you need. Formal Announcements are usually sent out to family & friends that you would like to share the wonderful news of your daughter's graduation, and gives them the opportunity to send a graduation gift. The announcement has all the details of the ceremony taking place, but most are aware that there is usually a certain number of friends/guests invited to the ceremony itself. If your daughter has a certain number that she can invite, then I would notify them personally if it was me, along with the announcement. That way you will know immediately if they are able to attend. It's usually very close family/friends any way that attend. Sorry, I noticed you are also having an open house? For that, maybe you could also include a notecard/invitation to open house along with the announcement, so that you don't have to mail twice. Congratulations to your Daughter on her big day!!

| Thanks guys- I wish there was some way i could show you what i have done with her announcements, etc. but they are on word and I dont see how I can. Every thing was so darn expensive to order from the company that her high school chose, and when i showed her what i had in word, she said well lets just go with that! GOD LOVE HER!!! I just wanted to make sure i had everything being as i make making them, and i want them to look almost as good as they would if we would have bought them professionally.

| I printed mine on the plain blank wedding invitations they sell at walmart. It was white with a silver band around the edge. I thought they were pretty.
