| My eldest skin grandson We were notified last week that our grandchild, who had a mishap in football (injured his knee), by the emergency doctor that there was something peculiar on his xray. The doctor said that he would need to follow up immediately with the family physician and was very tight lipped as to what was showing up. I have, very anxiously awaiting the reply from our daughter as to what it means. Please, please let it be alright, please let it be alright!!!!... he is such an avid sports player, not only with football but in soccer and school sports as well! He is at such a difficult age.... 14 and such a responsible boy, just started high school and enjoying it so much so far. Also has been such a great sportsman, he still attends every game, even though he is benched because of his injury, and cheers his team on! A prayer in our direction would so greatly be appreciated! Zachery is his name and he is so very special to us! Cheryl & Mandy

| Thanks for the prayer... May need them for awhile yet. I just got off the phone with my daughter and she said the Doctor has advised it is a bone tumor and he will require a bone scan to check it out further. He is such a trooper .. had his blood work done and is headed out to cheer on the team. Hopefully the test will be able to be done quickly... but alas our health care system is not what it should be, so may be a little wait until we can breathe easier. The doctor said the radiologist thinks it is benign ..... here is hoping he is perfectly correct on that. Sorry to ramble ... just was having such a hard time waiting for the call. His back is bothering him too... not too sure if it is related to the injury or not. Our daughter is such a good mother and will see that he gets the best of care! The doctor has suggested another pediatric bone surgeon in another city for a consult. Will sit on the worrying for awhile yet anyway! Thanks again. Cheryl & Mandy

| Bless your heart! It's so difficult when something happens to someone we love! My husband was sent to an orthopedic oncologist because an MRI showed a tumor on his knee. After much stress, it turned out to be nothing serious. I pray that your grandson finds his answers quickly, and that it will be good news! Maybe his back hurts from walking funny on his knee

| I will pray for your precious grandson. About a year ago, we had a scare with my grandson...he had a growth on his tailbone, which was not like the normal cyst, but hard as a rock and very painful. The doctor was very concerned that it could be two things...neither one of them good. He had surgery and had it removed and it was not cancer, nor the other disease they suspected. He still has some soreness in that area, but is doing great. I pray the same for Zachery. Hugs to you...I know that worry and the "not knowing" is so hard.
