| What do you know about Target? I didnt know if this would go here or General Discussion so Moderators if you have to move this, I am sorry. I have noticed that Target is clearancing out all their dog clothes and toys. They had collars and leashes today for $2.98 regular $11.99. Also they had their ABC hoodie for $2.98 and matching toy blocks $2.98 I got Martin (the poodle) a hoodie for $1.98. None of their clothes are full price, all are clearanced, most of their toys.... So anyway, does anyone know if they are not going to carry dog clothes anymore?

| I noticed that too and got Maggie a jumper for 1.98 and they have been clearing alot of stuff out. But I did see them restocking clothes in fallish colors. So I think they may just be trying to get rid of some of the older merchandise.

| Ours here has been restocking also. I know that here, with the change of seasons, there always is clearance on the outgoing season. I know that I have a bunch of summer items on clearance in the gift shop in our pharmacy. |

| My Target used to have a huge selection of dog goodies, now it is skinnied down to next to nothing. Maybe it is an individual store thing?

| Their dog stuff always sells really well. I'm sure they're just redoing the line, probably with an Oct 1 floor set for fall if everything is clearanced right now. They need to sell all the merchandise, then take down everything in those aisles-the marketing, the display shelves/hooks, and then reset it all, and it takes quite awhile. Then they have to receive, unpack, and hang up all the new stuff, and it has to look just like the pictures in the catalogs they get from their marketing/merchandising dept. (Which is why all the displays look very similar in each Target you go into.) You know how they do that with the home stuff? First it was ALL Thomas Oldham, then Thomas O'Brien, then Global Bazzar, now Issac Mirahi (sp), etc. They get a TON of stuff all by one designer, and it all has a theme, and goes through a few seasons-and all the tags/marketing material on it is similar. Then when that contract is up they move on to something else. I'm sure that's what they're doing with the doggie stuff-just fun new brands/lines for fall/winter! YAY! (I used to work in management at a national childrens' clothing chain, and we had to reset floorsets with each season/sale, and I actually worked at Target at the same time...I have no inside scoop on Target now, FYI, but this is my best guess at what's going on!)

Donating YT 10K Club Member | One of our Targets looks like it's definitely eliminating the frills of the pet department. It's been months...and nothing new. This is in a store that now has groceries. Another store is remodeling and I wonder if the same thing's gonna happen there too.
