I'm Being STALKED By A SPIDER!
 

Seriously, this spider is following I swear! Last night it was in the front room and the d*mn thing nearly walked across me on the sofa, I FREAKED out and shoved the laptop at it then watched it wonder across the back of the sofa, down the arm and into the box I keep my laptop accessories in! :( I thought I'd get something HUGE to trap it under till BF got up in the morning cuz I didn't like the idea of it walking about... well I get something and bravely knocked the box over with the help of a 2ft decorative twig, cuz I just THAT brave! :rolleyes: It had GONE!!!! :eek: So I took my laptop unstairs to bed so I didn't have to share a room with it!

Now I'm doing laundry and I go to take some into Amelia's room.... and I can't get in there... the spider is right above the door! :eek: I'm NOT walking under it! NOPE, not a chance. I'm glad I didn't put Amelia down for a nap in her cot because she would be stuck in there till either I got my mum to come up, BF got home or the spider moves! :cool:

So now I'm waiting for it to move, I'm not brave enough to knock it on the floor... it might get me, or land on me, or.... ewwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww! If it walks off I know it's still here though... catch-22! :(

Oh I was brave enough to stand on the opposite side of the hallway and take a photo so it it... this is one of the ones that carries hiking equipment across the room when it's out.

:eyetearss I have only two words for ya... FLY SWATTER!!! Not that brave??? Then get a can of bug spray and empty it! Seriously...That looks like a brown recluse and they are definitely nothing to be played with!!! What ever you do, please be careful!!!

You sound just like me, but I'm like that about bugs that can fly or jump on me! I hate crickets, grasshoppers, bees, ugh!!! We have had a ton of grasshoppers in our yard lately! I almost sat on a big one that was on our lawn chair, I about had a heart attack!
This one keeps getting on our window in the family room and it's right where Wrigley lays on the back of the couch to look out, she cries and whines at it!

Thankfully I'm in the UK and we don't get brown recluse spiders here, it's an oridinary house spider...

There is no way I'm getting close enough to that with a fly swatter! Gosh! What happens when I hit it and it's not dead and then attacks me, or worse yet takes Amelia or one of the dogs in revenge? :eek:

Ok that is one nasty looking spider! The thought of that thing walking about would be motivation enough for me to grab something and do away with it! Good Luck to you....Now I have to go spray my house....................:eek:

What if it doesn't die though and then gets p*ssed at me??? It might attack... I don't even know if they do attack or not. :confused: It could fall on me too! :eek: And if I did kill it then what? I'm NOT touching it, not toilet roll is thick enough to pick that up and flush it! :(

All of those but bees I can cope with them! At the minute our back garden is full of slugs and snails! :( I hate those. And moths! Daddy long legs too, Kayla was chasing one of those the house the other night. :rolleyes: *shudders* Can I live in a bubble?? :cool:

I can't get near it, I was like 4ft away when I took that photo and I'm getting no closer! :( It's like 6ft up too, right above the doorway next to the ceiling... I'd have to get step ladders to reach it and then I'd probably fall off and the stairs are right next to the door. It could end in disaster! :eek:

Uw I hate spiders. I dont blame you I couldnt walk underneath it either.

:scratchhe Fly swatter...Negative! Bug spray...Negative! How about a vacuum on a VERY long hose?!?!

Okay... I thought about the hoover before and here is my logic with that... I suck the spider up into the hoover... then I switch it off and there is no suction there... does that mean then that the spider can climb back out the way it went in???? :confused:

oh that gives me creeps dh found a big ol spider in the basement and as he went to kill it it got away so i don't want to go downstairs now ech

:lol tears I am in tears laughing because I know just how you feel. I absolutely hate spiders with a passion. So, I feel your pain. I say suck the darn thing in the vacuum. Then put it and the vacuum outside on the porch or garage, etc. and let your boy friend deal with it and the vacuum later. Kuddos to ya if you can actually pick up the vacuum after it's in there. :thumbup:

I can't move the hoover, it means carrying in down the stairs... if it was downstairs then I might of been able to push it out the houses in short little bursts.. like move it a foot, let go and run like heck to the other side of the room, stare at it for a minute, sneak up on it and then push it another foot! :cool: Yep, THAT brave! :p

AAAWWWW Vicky, I am so very sorry about your stalker. At least it wasn't some crazed manaic..... Just a little "spider who sat down besider her". I hope that you are spiderless very soon so that you can relax.

Okay...It's been a couple of hours. What's the status on that spider?!?!? Is it still waving at you? :sidesplt: Or, did you get up the nerve to show it a thing or two... I'm seriously trying to help with your pest...But, my ribs are aching from laughing so hard! By the way, did I suggest using a broom yet? :confused:

Okay well it's still there! :mad: Amelia wants to go to bed but I'm not going through that door!!! So we're waiting for Daddy to take it away! :p He'll be home in about 15minutes.

If I hit it with a broom and don't kill it it's gonna be running about! Worse than that it could get stuck in the broom and then when I move the broom back from hitting it it could fly off and land on me! :eek:

I am soooo afraid of them, they get as big as your hand in FL. I just call someone to come kill it while I wait outside.
When I was a teen I tried to hit one on the wall with a broom, missed, it jumped on me and I fainted. The next time I saw one I was taking a shower and I went running naked and screaming through the house, my Mother was not married but her boyfriend was there and saw me, didn't care. My family knows that when I scream, what is going on.

See, now you just proved my point about the broom and them landing on you! :eek: I think I would of fainted too!

The story about you in the shower was funny though... sorry but that made me laugh and I'm allowed because they've been laughing at me on here about mine!!! :(
