| Here they were telling people to fill up their tanks. We waited in a long line on Thursday. When we got there all of the regular pumps were empty and you were forced to buy more expensive gas. Today they said it was because of hurricane Ike and the oil being shut down. They said Chattanooga was about out of gas and two things would happen. They said until the hurricane is over and we see how much damage will be done to the oil fields nothing could be done. The other choice would be for the stations to buy the expensive gas and it would have to sell for $5 plus. They urged people to fill up their tanks (limit of l0 gallon placed at most stations), and wait out the hurricane. They said to drive as little as possible.

| It was ridiculous! I don't really stay updated with gas prices and all that because I don't go a lot of places bug oh my goodness! I went to a nearby town today to go out for lunch with my mom and after we were finished running around I had to get gas to head back home. IT WAS NUTS! Lines everywhere and then when I finally found a pump they were out of regular gas :O! I'm watching the news right now and in Bowling Green, KY it shot up a WHOLE DOLLAR! This is the most expensive gas has gotten here in KY and I really think everything will be DEAD until they go back down. Most gas stations ran out of gas PERIOD in the early AM today where everyone was trying to get gas before it went up. I'm talking OUT OF EVERY TYPE OF GAS. This is nuts!

| YT 500 Club Member | Here in Florida it is 4 something, my friend sent me a text and said it suppose to go to six dollars. My sister was saying a lot of people are going to lose their job because they don't have enough for gas plus the cost of living. It is sad. I told my sister I guess it is time to pull out the bikes.

| My dtr called me at work yesterday afternoon saying she was on empty, their gas (Myrtle Beach) had gone from $3.50 to $4.29 in one jump and was expected to go to $5.00+. She was at Sam's and the news crews were there saying all the stations were out of gas. How are people going to get to work, etc with no gas? This is absurd! Why did we put in the Alaskan Pipeline, anyway? Hey, Mike, what's up with that? Are you guys hoarding all the gas up there ? I hope this lets up soon. What happens when the ambulances, fire trucks and police can't get any gas?????
