This shouldn't be tolerated at all!!! This is so sad to think a bunch of grown adults can act their age. We all have opinions and they should be respected as that,(just keep in mind opinions are like belly buttons we all have them ....) even if we don't agree. It good that we all don't agree other wise we would all be driving Fords.
Even though I have been here a short time I have even noticed in the forums there are some nasty replies to some peoples opinions. We are all here for the same reason and that is to share, help one another, and to gain new friendships, not to judge........or at least that was my intentions. If anyone knows Brutus's Mom contact her for the group let her know we want her back and that she is missed. Not to give the other person satisfaction of taking her away from the rest of us. Hopefully she contacted admin. so they can take the proper actions. In the meantime lets all take a minute and think of others feelings when we want to express ours.... And we can all be a happy yorkie family....

well as some of you know(post got deleted already) but i recently got a nasty pm from someone for saying something that alot have said already. anyway i posted it in the general discussion because i wanted to expose this person for what they really are and for what they really think of all of us. but i am not going anywhere! it will take me being banned by admin for me to leave. but i have noticed alot of good older members not coming back and i find it so sad because they were great! i know some of them got offended and felt that this forum has changed, but they just left they didn't post a goodbye post or anything.

that certain people get replies to their posts that are rather sharp or borderline insulting. I hope that I never come across that way and I would hope that if I ever did, someone would tell me. We are all products of many different environments, lifestyles and experiences and I receive replies to my posts with the attitude to take what I want and leave the rest. I have gotten more information and friendship here than I have gotten from the "visible" folks in my life and I hope that I have offered the same to others. I agree that an announcement that you are leaving is rather dramatic and may stir up controversy. I enjoy my time on the forums, have been a member for close to a year now and while I do not have the time or inclination to post alot, I do post if I have something that I feel might be relevant or helpful to the poster, I do not come here to deride anyone nor offend anyone. If I received a nasty PM, I would simply ignore it unless it impinged my character or my morals. I consider the lot of you friends, some closer than others. In my opinion, the lot of this is a tempest in a teapot, to coin a phrase.

very well put. I think on the most part..sometimes it's a misunderstanding.. some people read things differently than others.. what might be insulting to me, might not be for you, etc.

I have gotten comments on posts of mine, that I thought were insulting, but probably they didn't.. and when I would post a new topic, they would comment again.. I did my part and forward it to admin and he took care of it.

I think instead of just having a goodbye thread and stirring more controversy, to keep it between you, the nasty PM'er and the admin..

I am grateful that I haven't received any nasty PM's but it is better to ignore them (do not let it get to you). Remember that YorkieTalk in its majority is made up of a forum of generous, loving, respectful people like us. That is what counts. More power to YorkieTalk for the sake of our furbabies. Sorry to hear that some left hope they will return.

I am not saying this to rile anyone up, this is only my opinion and it comes from experience. I was accused of sending pms such as these and the person DID NOT paste the pms (if they did then they would have been laughed out of the forum) and the person DID NOT use my name (Ive been here a while and my style of writing is familiar to most members that have been here a while as well).... Everyone however decided to "stick together" and pretty much bad mouthed the "offending pmer" ........
Everyone can write what they want here, and that includes FALSE accusations...
Also i would like to point out that the "goodbye" threads about these accusations have not been encouraged in the past, admin usually deletes them before they get much of a foothold.

Please look into all teh facts before you listen to someone saying they got nasty pms (and especially posting them on the board) most people will forward them to admin, those few that wish to "seek attention" will post them on the forum for public view (WITHOUT the proof or facts to back themselves up)

I agree with this. It is not about "banding together" and getting rid of the offender because sometimes the supposed "offender" is actually innocent.

I don't agree with suspending or banning someone for a "goodbye" thread or a "I'm taking a break" thread since we are friends here and we are connected to each other and we have touched people and affected people's lives that we do not even realize including those who "lurk"and are too shy to post often and we would worry about someone who just suddenly disappeared...or at least I would and I do.

I do not believe it is done to get sympathy or to get told what a great member you are. I think it is done for the reasons the poster says it was done. It may be that they have been made to feel uncomfortable and I, for one, want to know when that happens, it may be they are losing their computer for a while, or they are having surgery or they are getting a divorce or havng a baby or going back to work or whatever.

I, for one, would like to know instead of having to wonder ....like with Aimee for instance. I worry about her because I don't know what happened.

I would too, and surgery is one thing..... i dont think people do it for sympathy, i think some (not all) do it for the drama. I would love to know that our memebers are ok and are still with us, but goodbye threads (like the one that i have confered with you about) and the reasons behind them kinda rub me the wrong way.... if it is true, thats one thing, but if its not????? i dont like the "witch hunt" mentality especially if it is an act to create controversy and is a lie
