Age difference in marriage

I have always dated older men as well. I have been together with my hubby for 6 years. Well I am 27yo and he is 47yo. It's a 20 year diference, more than anybody here, but we are in love and we are very happy. I don't think age is important, at least not for me!

My boyfriend (hopefully hubby someday) is 8 years older than me. I got out of a relationship with a guy who was almost 3 years older than me and he was soooo immature, when i started dating again, I tried 'boys' my age (27 - 32, I was 29 at the time) and they were all just sooo LOST in this world. Living at home still, no ambitions, had crazy emotional baggage, partyers and drinkers big time..... I just couldn't do it. I have my own home and good job and new car and take care of myself. SSSoooo I dated this guy who was 15 years older than me, but he was too old for me (mentally I think) and now Im dating a guy 8 years older than me and its working out perfect! I never even realize the age difference. We get along sooo well, we were raised the same by our parents, we are in the same place in life, he is fun to be with, can keep going long after I fall asleep. I am mature for my age but I still like to have fun and be on the go all the time, he is exactly like that with me! He is going to be 40 next month, and Im going to be 32 in Nov.

Even funnier, almost all my friends married guys younger than them from a year to like 3 years younger.

In my first marriage I was married to someone 7 yrs older than me. It didnt work he was very controllingand I was very young. My 2nd Husband is only 6 mos older than me and we have been happily married for going on 9 yrs

I am 17 years younger than DH. This year I'll be 53 & he'll be 70. We've been married 16 yrs. Sometimes I thank God that I did not let the "year" thing get in the way of our relationship. I cannot imagine life without him. It works for us.

Honestly, it only occurs to us once in a blue moon. Like when I was talking about seeing ET in the theatre @ 19 yrs old and he says:

"Me too, but there you were at 19 snogging your BF and I was eight years old and saw it with my dad."

I call him my "401-K" plan.

My hubby is 8 years older than I am and our 15th anniversary is next month. When we met I was 18 and he was 26. I imagine when our daughter is 18 he would want to kill if a 26 year old so much as looked at her but we were meant to be so it's different.

My mom is 2 years older than my dad, but she HATES when I date younger guys! The youngest I've dated was a year and a half younger than me. I'm 24 now, and I honestly feel that most of the guys younger than me (at least the ones I've dated, and I've dated a few younger guys!) are all just party party party all the time. I just feel more grown up I guess. My last younger guy, I was actually very heartbroken over when our relationship ended. I honestly thought I would marry him. Well my friend just told me she saw him out a week ago and he was so drunk he couldn't stand up. And I thought it's so amazing how we're in such different places in our lives, it never would have worked out anyway!

You lifted my spirit. We are more than just 9 years apart, and I am very self concious. We have a child who is going to be five soon. Now, he sais he wants me to get pregnant. I am so confused, and I dont know what I want, or what to do.

How old are you? I'm 46 and have a 19 year old son.

Getting pregnant back 8 years ago was an option. Now, not so much, I'd be starting back at square one and I'd rather wait for the grandkids.

I'm having too much fun and finally doing things based on what I want to do, not what someone else needs.

What is confusing you?

I am 40, What's confusing me is if I should get pregnant at my age or not, if I want his child or not, if I want to face the reality when I am introduced to his friends or not. If I compare my life experience to his, he actually has more experience with the opposite sex , and other issues than me, and he often calls me inmature. He says my actions match my looks
