| I am so sorry for all of you. There is just nothing that can be said to make it any better or less painful. Your son is so lucky to have a mom who cares so much. Another reminder to hug those you love, live each day to the fullest, and don't get caught up in the "stuff" that just isn't important in the big picture. You and your family are in my prayers.

| I'm so sorry you're having to deal with this tragedy. Poor Gavin! I know he's old enough to understand what happened - but knowing that it could've been prevented.............. I'll be praying for all involved.

| oh that makes my heart hurt Im so sorry to hear this. Last week my friend's 23 year old cousin died in a car accident. No alcohol involved in this one but still way too young a life lost My prayers go out to you, your son and that girls family.

Luv my 7 Furkids Donating Member | Please, please come to terms with your anger. I too lost one of my two sons at age 16, not to a drunk driver but suddenly without warning. Anger will only prolong the hurt you feel. Try to turn things into positive, work at a MADD group (mothers against drunk drivers), or something to that effect. And just a suggestion for your son. Kids, boys inparticular have a difficult time saying how they feel, you know that male macho thing. Encourage him to write his feelings on paper, tell him he can throw away the paper, so no one sees, or he can put it on the grave of his friend. For me I think what saved me the most from just doing myself in was the kids, I tried so hard to help them, and they helped me without me even knowing it. My heart bleeds for you, your son and your friend. L. |

| I am so sorry. The family of that little girl must be so devastated - and to think that she died because of a drunk driver. It just breaks my heart. My daughter dated a guy in high school, they were both 15, and he was just the nicest guy. They stopped dating their senior year, but they always remainded friends and both went on to marry other people. Last year he was driving (drunk) and hit and killed a woman, a mother of five daughters. He was sentenced to 9 years without parole. It is heartbreaking to think of the life he took and to know that he has ruined 9 years of his own life for that one moment of selfishness. I hope you and your son get through this ok.

| So sad. Sending prayer's for the two of you to help you get threw this horrible day. So young to lose her life. I lost a friend at 12 and went to the viewing, my first one ever. No one prepared me for it and it haunted me for 55 years. I could never go and view again. I just stay in the back to pay my respects. Please prepare him for what lies ahead. It may be too much for him to handle. What a tragic story, one that did not have to end this way. How do we stop these people from driving while intoxicated? |

| How terrible. Accidental deaths are difficult enough, but to know this death was at the hands of a drunk driver is just too much. Prayers to you and your family and to her family as well.

Senior Yorkie Talker | My heart breaks for you and your son and the family of the little girl. My prayers are with all of you. Your son is very lucky to have a mom who loves as strongly as you. My thoughts, prayers and wishes are echoed in what has already been posted. I, too, have lost to drunk drivers, twice. My parents and baby sister suffered a head on w/a drunk who crossed the center line doing over 100 mph, they were never the same. Then, my Dad (who was never right after the first accident, heavy brain damage, but still NO excuse) was killed when he was driving drunk and almost took the lives of two innocents as well. The pain these people cause is so horrific! We need to force the lawmakers into being tougher about this!! Don't let go of your anger, just channel it into positive work against these atrocities!! God bless you and your little boy and the parents of this precious baby girl.
